Why do people get all bent out of shape and hateful over who's beliefs are right? I don't believe that there is a single Religion that can be Proven or Disproved. This goes for people who do not practice religion too.

No, it can't be proven. That's why I believe that if there is a God, you'll go to heaven for simply being a good person, not for what church you gave money to. I don't think God would be one to say, "Ohhh, yah...well, you were a decent person, but you were (insert religion here). Should have checked behind door number 2. Sorry - eternal damnation for you!"

Good question. You are essentially right. The reasons people get bent out of shape for this, however, are actually quite numerous.

1. People are afraid that their beliefs will not be tolerated, so they feel obligated to voice those beliefs and try to keep people believing them. It is a safety mechanism.

2. Arguing their beliefs helps legitimize those beliefs, especially when anyone agrees with them.

3. Religion has a questionable and misinterpreted history. Lots of people have died due to their religious beliefs, and many a war fought. Of course, religion was not really the cause. If it didn't exist, then people in power would just think of different excuses to kill one another. But that history causes some people to be afraid of religion, thus they argue against it.

4. Some people argue their beliefs to help them better understand their beliefs. Debating religion helps clarify issues, define terms, and better organize your thoughts on the subject.

5. Some people just like to argue. Being that religion is so important to so many people, those kinds of people find this a fun topic to bring up. You'd be amazed how many people are on here arguing for and against religions who don't really even care.

6. Some people like to argue their beliefs to make themselves feel better about themselves. Expressing their beliefs and belittling others gives them a sense of power. It is like when you are a kid and another kids puts you down because it makes them feel better. Usually it means that the arguer has esteem problems. So it can be psychological.

I am sure I could think of more, but you get the picture. Ultimately, religion is a personal thing that is or is not inside us. You are right that it can never be proven one way or the other, at least not in this forum, but the reasons to try are diverse!

You can prove that each religion has falsehoods to lead people away from God and towards another human who wants the glory for themselves. Religion of any kind can not be proven to be the utmost truthful. It is the spiritualness that is important.

Do you think God disapproved of loving people who raised gardens that beared beautiful flowers and fruits for their gods?
Your made in his image, and if you place yourself in the God seat for that moment, would you have hate for those people? You know you wouldn't have. Its the spiritual intent within a human that is the real God turn on, not the religion he follows, but the acts he does, the acts of goodness and love.
Religions have the different tools and techniques that increase a persons intentions of good. (oh and often times bad too) It isn't the tools that turns God on, its the intentions. Does it matter if the prayer is screamed out loud repeatedly all day long, or once silently in the corner of a room? You may believe one prayer is being heard when the other is not, but all are heard, but the positive intended ones are listened to.
Hey, we can all make it to Reno Nevada and it doesn't take one specific vehicle to make it there...a bike, a scooter, a car, (but don't try a boat please, won't work out too easily, but I guess eventually you would make it anyway, that's faith and great intentions wouldn't you say?) It's how we act during that trip is what matters.

I agree with you.In my opinion religion has gotten out of hand.People should respect others beliefs. Most religions are formed around different cultures and societies or vice versa. So wrong or right really isn't what is debateable.People probably get so madd because they have so much passion for what they believe. They want everyone to serve their God.And if someone comes along who does not ave their beliefs they try to prove that persons religion false and evil.Alot of the time I think people take it all too serious.

I have my own religion I think my views are so clever in time I will be praised like Jesus is now. They will form a church to destroy everything good about what I really said and kill people in my name. Seriously I believe God is life it is the energy that runs through the universe when you develop you innner peace you have a temple of the mind. I know my theory is fact because it is proven by science and religion it is the only view that does this.

If you're talking about being proven in court, then you're absolutely right. There is no solid evidence (and since the Bible and all other religious documents were written by man, and well after the fact, they'd be considered "hear-say" in court and not admissible.)
The fervor is anyone's guess. For if one has truly bonded with the spirit, you have a sense of peace and tranquility.

Kudos to you because you have not allowed yourself to be bent by fear of "hell" or damnation as closed believers tend to be. Keep on searching the truth openly and don't be scared of searching. It is those who search sincerely who end up being the really good people!

There is one God and many ways to serve Him...You sound kind of bent out of shape and hateful...
God doesn't need to be proven or disproven...HE IS...and I accept that.
Try to relax and have a peaceful day.

If your religion can be proven then the other religions would not exist. evolution is a proven theory to the guy who questioned it, thats why they teach it to school children.
