No one knows. Most religions have their ideas on how it happened, some scientists have different ideas on it, and they might all be wrong. There is no proof of anything anymore. You have to look at all the possibilities and figure out which fits your logic the best. I would say, good luck. No one here answering how they think it happened is anymore correct than anyone else.
FYI, the first book of the Bible tells you how they think the World was created. So does a chapter in my Physical Science Book. They are both good theories and neither can be proven or dis-proven. I am a Christian, but I hate when people think a book written by a man proves or disproves anything on a matter like this. I can write that a purple duck created life and get a billion people to agree, that doesn't mean a purple duck created anything.

The honest answer is, that we really do not know how life originated on this planet. You can say we were all organisms and this planet had what we needed to survive (which was water) but you need to flip through some National Geographic magazines or something for a more valid answer. What's YOUR opinion?

We don't really know, and many people NEED to believe that there is something (God for want of a better identification) that "created" life on earth. There is no God as we have been taught in the bible.

God made it all. The first book of the Bible records it.
The Book of Genesis has sometimes been called the "seed-plot" of the entire Bible. Most of the major doctrines in the Bible are introduced in "seed" form in the Book of Genesis. Along with the fall of man, God's promise of salvation or redemption is recorded (Genesis 3:15). The doctrines of creation, imputation of sin, justification, atonement, depravity, wrath, grace, sovereignty, responsibility, and many more are all addressed in this "seed" Book called Genesis.

Probably something along these lines: among the gazillions of molecules in earth's water, the right combination came together to make the first "replicator" - a molecule capable of replicating itself. Natural selection took over.

For this is what the LORD says— he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— he says: "I am the LORD, and there is no other.

No one knows, and if they think they do it is wild speculation. But because you cannot prove that god doesn't exist doesn't mean he does.
At the end of the day I would rather a scientist look for the answer than a whole industry geared towards proving one fantasy, that their whole business is tied into - wouldn't you?.
