And know that God is God?

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”- Psalm 46:10

I received an email today from a bible student thanking me for sharing with her about our loving father, Jehovah. She attended the funeral of a co-worker and ended up walking out after several of the people who spoke kept blaming God for "taking" their loved one. She couldn't take the misinformation, but didn't want to be disrespectful. She expressed her thanks again and again.

I told her that there was no need to thank me. I also stated that I was more than happy to be the one used to give the two of them (her and Jehovah) a proper introduction.

If all people would receive the truth about Jehovah so openly, imagine what joy we could find in our ministry.

What if being "saved" means that all of God's creation be "saved" from destruction caused by humans? What if "through Jesus" means that we are saved by following his teachings and examples of how he lived his life? What if "forgiven of our sins through Jesus" means that we are forgiven when we walk like Jesus did and not just repent? Could we all be saved if we were more like Jesus? Could the planet and all of it's wonderment be saved if those that followed Jesus honestly dedicated their lives to be like him? Religion has skewed the truth about who Jesus was and what he was trying to teach us. If he does come back, I believe he will shake his head and exclaim to all of his so called followers, "Why weren't you paying attention?!"

For the past 10 years or so, the archdiocese rents a large convention hall for a day and a half. They bring in world renown speakers to talk on faith, theology, healing, etc. They have several sessions going on at a time (General track, Hispanic track, Teen track, Kids track, Deaf track, Vietnamese track, etc.). They offer Adoration and Confessions almost all day long. The whole thing starts and ends with a Mass. There is no charge for anything (except the convention hall makes you buy your food from their vendors).

Is this done elsewhere?

Ok i was watching something on the History channel about the Crusades and what i have learned is, is that christians were the ones who started the Crusade by the POPE( which I believe was not following the commandments of God by going out to kill people) Right there and then they disobeyed God.. And they went to Jerusalem to save it from the Muslims (more like take over it) I am disappointed at that.. I don't like popes because i never heard of a pope doing a good thing.. well where i am going is the christians when you judge the Muslims today of killin people well think about the Crusades and how many people were killed and slaughtered, and not only the jews but muslims as well.. well that is what the muslims are doing now.. i just hate christians judgin people when they should look in the mirror and judge themselves first.. i am christian but im close to God and Jesus and I would never choose to kill and disobey God. But yet I am not perfect so i am not saying that im an angel lol..

Last night on the Histroy Channel they presented a show on 10 ways the earth could be destroyed very interesting program, as many of you here that deny GOD then I assume you think the planet has been destroyed more times than with the Dinasours and will be destroyed again.

One of the segments was on the Volcano that lies under Yellowstone and how it is way over due for an eruption, they claim last time it erupted it wiped out any living thing.
They also claim earth can be wiped out with an impending Asteroid, due to hit in 2036 The Black Whole should it get near earth would wipe out the planet in minutes...Many now say Global Warming is a percursour for a World event to happen which is earth's destruction, after all it happened before. Does this event fear you? For me no way Jesus is on his way!

Ask yourself what is a soul? What does it do? What is it comprised of and where is it located? Is it something that is unchanging and totally independent of our physical bodies, or is it something completely dependent on our physiology?

I'm not saying that one actually exists, but if it did then what are it's characteristics? Is there a standard definition or is it just something that people assume is there because someone told them it was there. Is it just another allegorical concept, such as looking deep within your heart for something, even though the heart has no reasoning capabilities whatsoever and heart transplants don't result in people changing who or what they love and care for?

I'm going to ask a series of questions regarding the soul today, so please stay tuned and try to answer the follow-up questions if you decide to answer this one.

Have you chaps noticed that almost always, when a Christian person speaks of atheism, the words "morals" or "morality" float to the top? Many of us, perhaps most of us live quiet lives in which we embrace a high degree of day-to-day behavior which could only be described as "moral." For example, if I may, I married only once and my beautiful wife (who passed away in '03) and I were devoted to each other. I paid, and I pay, taxes; I never struck one of our kids; I vote; I participate in anti-war and human rights demonstrations in my city, I read books and write plays, I enjoy the company of gosh knows how many friends and colleagues in the classical theatre around N.A. and in Europe, I speak and read in three languages, I neither steal nor pointlessly lie. At age 9 I put away belief in a primitive god. Though I am now 71 and disabiled, I remain in the warm embrace of my life's work, the professional theatre. Ask 800,000 atheists, and to you would come parallel answers.

I'm a little puzzled by this. Why, if God loves us so much, does he stick us with Original Sin? It seems a little odd that if someone or something has an unending love for us, that he/she/it would punish us for something that two other people did (Adam and Eve).

Why would God send us to Hell because of what they did? Why is it OUR responsibility? It bothers me that people think that some god could love and still punish like this.

WHY should we be stuck like this? If we don't believe, we go to Hell. That doesn't sound very loving.

What do you think? Can you please explain this? Thank you in advance.
