What if being "saved" means that all of God's creation be "saved" from destruction caused by humans? What if "through Jesus" means that we are saved by following his teachings and examples of how he lived his life? What if "forgiven of our sins through Jesus" means that we are forgiven when we walk like Jesus did and not just repent? Could we all be saved if we were more like Jesus? Could the planet and all of it's wonderment be saved if those that followed Jesus honestly dedicated their lives to be like him? Religion has skewed the truth about who Jesus was and what he was trying to teach us. If he does come back, I believe he will shake his head and exclaim to all of his so called followers, "Why weren't you paying attention?!"

i agree with the last statement you made that god/jesus would be and is dismayed at what man has done to not only his creation but to his teachings. they have taken something beautiful and turned it into a business that is hell bent on the destruction of anyone and anything that stands in opposition. to me jesus' teachings can be simplified into one phrase. love god love your neighbor love yourself. and most people in religion today do only the last.

If you had sex and got pregnant then you'd be a mom <=> If you were Baptized, you're saved by Jesus.

If you have an abortion, you're still a mom <=> if you never turn to Jesus again (after baptism), you're still saved.

If you have the baby & raise it, you're a mom <=> if you spend time with Jesus you're saved and get some graces from Jesus (physically & spiritually).

If your babies give you awards of being "World's Best Mom" kisses, hugs, and great grades, you're still a mom <=> if your works are in alignment with Jesus, you're saved and receive his graces in abundance.

So the question then becomes ... how many graces do you want from Jesus on top of being saved ... is being saved enough???

There is commercial saints and spiritual people. My dad rarely stepped inside a church. I can not think a better man who lived a peaceful life. He was my hero. I do not know if he believed in God. I do know that if christians condemed him for not completing a chick list I would de-noun christianity in a second. I do not think the christian world has a clue on who will be saved or not. Preach to me and you will fall in the catagory of a professor you teaches a subject he has never done himself. You can not preach like a God or judge anyone. You are NOT Qualified!!!

You could be right, and indeed may be. However, the Bible makes it clear that what Born Again believers are saved from is the time of God's wrath, The Tribulation, and Hell. I promise you that nothing humans can do to themselves or to this planet can equal what the wrath of a Holy God against His fallen creation can do. We are but dust mites, He is the Holy One, and He will judge sin, and the price will be paid. You can accept that Jesus paid your price for you, or you can pay it yourself.

you're right... it's not about a religion, it's about a personal relationship with Jesus. religion, does make things worse... look at all those fighting for their religion, all the wars and killings. it's a shame that whole countries have gone down because of "religion".

Are you accusing religions of being false, shame on you now you are going to receive a really nasty response from someone who had a real vision from Heaven and was told how bad you are.

No, Jesus will not shake his head and say this. He knows that satan is the prince of the power of the air and that he deceives the whole world. Instead of looking at Jesus from man's point of view, look at him from God's point of view. He is the King of kings--the ruler of God's kingdom in Earth.

u have turned the idea of the glorious Infinite
into the finite.

YOU have distorted Jesus into your own coming and going neurotic image.

Jesus coming back?

.....that is your trip love.

The Universe is already here and never left or came back.

Jesus is not leaving us.

He is here.

Now.

This is it.

Honey, when He sets His foot on the Mount of Olives, He's not gonna be spreading the message of peace, I can guarantee you that! I don't intend to be here when He sets His foot down on this earth again.

Romans 10:9 says: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

That looks pretty simple to me...so simple that scholars dismiss it as hogwash.
