love,
No, it doesn't get to me. Some of their questions are very good - well thought out and based on the writer's experiences. Most are week-knee approaches to the presence of God: bad language; fingerpointing; outrageous claims that border on the insane; poor analogies. In general, they approach God as if He were a person on earth in the 21st century. They try to apply the words of the allegories in the Bible as 'gospel'. They take a phrase from a parable in the 1st 300 pages and add it to some statement on the 1500th page. This is a lazy man's means of soothing himself and securing himself in his atheism.

Look at it this way. You are not a whipping post, but rather, you are now light, and darkness can't put out light, but light destroys darkness. This light never tires, but goes on.
But as you know and it is written, it is hard to kick against the _ricks. This was told to Paul as he persecuted Christians, and finally he woke up.

We as Christians will be bothered all the time just for being Christians but we need to persevere through it and we will be rewarded by being with our Lord in the kingdom of Heaven.

If you cant handle comments you dont agree with, there is a little red X in the corner of your screen.
FYI: Everyone feels like the 'whipping post' now and then. Get out more, fresh air will do you good!

Remember the words of our Lord Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:10-12. "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
In Philippians 2:29 it is written: "For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake..."
And in Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
So take heart! God is aware of what is going on. Remain steadfast in the Lord. Do good! Focus on Him, and the weariness will abate.

Sometimes, but it is all part of the call. I take comfort knowing that God says vengence is his, and one day EVERY knee will bow. So ask yourself, when you stand in judgement would you rather have a multitude of battle scars or none at all?

Haha, how ironic of you.
Seriously, do you have any idea how hard it is to be an open atheist in the United States?
Please consider that before you try playing the victim, doll. The religious right controls this country, and if you are not aware of that, then you must be mentally retarded.

1 John 3:13:
13Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
From jesus's own lips! :)
But I know where you're coming from, i was thinking about this today, how no one "tolerates" us and has to for everyone else like gays, muslims, and anything else that is so far from anything good.

No, its like a training camp, I pray and meditate about a certain situation, and so when it comes up again, I am better equipped to handle it.
There are people out there who don't believe in God, and think they are superior to me because I do. It doesn't bother me. I just would like everyone to have peace in their hearts, and joy in their lives, if they can find it themselves, that's great. All good things come from God, IMO. Peace and Blessings.
