I don't know what society you live in, but it sure isn't the same one I live in.

Here in the U.S. most women have to work or the families will go homeless and starve.

I suppose you think that would be a good thing.

Also, the vast majority of housework is done by those wives who are also working full-time or more outside the house; men do little to maintain the home.

My opinion is that you haven't the first clue as to what you are talking about.

American society seems most supportive of married couples who divide necessary tasks equitably, and in a manner that is optimal for their family. For some, this means the woman works full time, the man works full time, and they share the household duties. For other couples, this means that one stays at home full time, and the other works full time. Still others have found different arrangements that work best for their partiuclar circumstances.

Women have been "liberated" of their position in the family. No longer are they housewives and mothers, they are welders, and executives, and bread-winners for the family. Never mind that ever since that happened the family unit has suffered, they're successful workers now, and that should be applauded. Unfortunately, there are so few mothers left to teach us to applaud this that there remains, in fact, very little applause for it. Of course, men have also helped this along by cheating on their wives, lording their successes in business over them, and being, basically, male chauvinist pigs, so, since society is people, and people do whatever they can to cause this situation to continue, then yes, society supports this.

Not at all. I think society supports both the woman who stays at home and those that decide to work instead. While there are some who look down on both groups they are the minority.

i think of I understand what you mean. there's a stereotypical concepts-set that announces a guy ought to help a enjoyed ones along with his income and specific do some chores while a woman does no longer ought to help a enjoyed ones along with her income yet ought to do chores. this concepts-set from a protracted time in the past while the female earned little or no. those days that's stupid. i think of that's suited that all human beings put in a share of their income to pay the expenditures (like, say, 80%). this way, all human beings has funds left over - no rely how plenty or little you're making. As for chores - the two do them or pay somebody to do the chores neither one needs to do. P.S. "spouse who neglects the abode" sounds such as you have some very own bitterness occurring consisting of your considerable different. And which you anticipate that's the spouse's activity to handle the abode. attempt coming near it from the point of view that that's all human beings's activity to "do the abode stuff".

I think it is up to each couple to figure out what works for them and go with it. I think it's not up to you or anyone else to give an opinion or judge them for working it out their way.

Yes.

Hence the reason I'm building a remote abortion device--so she can't just produce offspring and not be a mother.
