Interesting question... I would conjecture that any intelligent life goes through a religious phase during its evolution. Since intelligence comes before scientific knowledge, any flegling covolization would need a god to explain natural phenomena and organize social life. But I could be wrong.

I think every theist has their own god.


Look at the multitude of different Christian sects. All the people moving around until they find a church/god that they like.


I did not realise that the 'truth' was à la carte. I always though it was a fixed table d'hôte, like it or not.
