Hello, all! I pray that you are doing well today. Today I want to address, US, as sheep. Over and over God refers to us as sheep. "All we like sheep have gone astray" Isaiah; "My sheep hear my voice" John; "We are.....the sheep of His pasture" Psalm; "Feed my sheep" John..........and there is many more.
Sheep are the dumbest of all animals. They are helpless, timid, and feeble, they require constant attention and meticulous care. They have little means of self-defense. If they do not have the constant care of the shepherd, they will go the wrong way, unaware of the dangers at hand. Why did God create them that way? It is believed that He had a two-fold purpose. First, to show us our total, absolute poverty of spirit, and second, to show us our need of a shepherd. The welfare of the sheep depends solely upon the care they get from their shepherd.
Oh, friends, I hope that you will understand. Even though we may do dumb things at times, we are not perfect,

even though we may stumble in many ways (James 3:2) we can succeed because the Lord is our Shepherd. God designed us as we are so that we would see our need of Him. In Him we find all that we need. Thus we can say with total confindence and conviction, " The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want" Psalm 23:1

When we don't have a government, don't people go astray and everyone will be trying to find a leader.
It is the same in our spiritual life and that is why we are called sheeps.
When we don't have parents, don't we go the wrong way and we are unware of the dangers at hand?
Like the kids without parents. Why do they do drugs and smoke even though they have been warned that it could kill them?
We are sheeps and even though it is hard to imagine that we are behaving like sheeps, we do and in need of a shepherd.

For Jesus to refer to people as sheep was, for that time and place, a high regard. He taught that we were worth the effort of the constant care. A shepherd had a huge responsibility to care for the sheep. It took a constant watch. There weren't too many other analogies that would have made sense to the people of that time.
Without guidance, it is not always easy to discern right from wrong...look around you to see that. Man makes many wrong turns, creating problems...and is slow at correcting errors if it is done at all. While Jesus taught His disciples to help one another..that the law of love supersedes all others, it rarely happens. He told us that the poor would always be with us, but admonished the disciples to help the poor...No, we are not perfect...but hopefully, we seek the right path.

Like Christ was a shepherd, Krishna was a cow-herd,
There is a beautiful analogy of the mind which consists of thoughts running around like the cows, needing constantly to be herded in one direction [focusing of the thoughts-mind]. Krishna is like our intellect that decides which course of action to take, and which one not to take.
We are at once, both the cows [sheep] and the cowherd [shepherd] !

1) Because sheep are innocent and a good shepherd protects them from harm.

2) The Lord loves a ripping good parable.

Do you relatively prefer some imaginary discern head to tell you the thank you to be ethical? How approximately user-friendly experience? Waste no longer, prefer no longer is in basic terms user-friendly useful. seem what being grasping has performed to our planet already. we are virtually to the factor of no return and faith hasn't helped zilch. Infact, if all people have been to perish sometime, in line with danger the earth could be greater efficient off for it, actually the animals might have greater peace. some people are pretty conceited for believing that people are the 1st order of beings and the only ones that have souls or remember under this meant God.

All humans need constant care, some are helpless, timid and feeble. But it also says that God is my sheepard I shall not want. So we have a shepard that cares for us as sheep.

most humans follow a leader, a guru. all of the sheep references are metaphors. most people didn't read at that time, so messages were given through metaphorical references and stories.

Yes, we are ALL sheep, Christian or not. We ALL follow something, whether it's Christ, the philosophy of our peers, what we believe is science, etc. This illustrates that we indeed do need a shepherd who knows the way. Otherwise, we'll go off in any direction.

I think it is very telling to be referred to as sheep, an animal that can't think for itself. Even god says you can't think for yourself so you have to be totally dependant on him.
