Nowhere does Scripture explicitly state that animals do not have souls...There is nothing in Scripture I know of that would preclude the possibility of animals' continued existence...The Bible does give us some reason to hope that departed animals will be restored. We read in the Bible that redemption is a cosmic matter. The whole creation is destined to be redeemed through the work of Christ (Romans 8:21), and we see the images of what heaven will be like; beautiful passages of Scripture tell us about the lion and lamb and other animals being at peace with one another.(Isaiah 11:6-8). Whenever heaven is described, though it may be in highly imaginative language, it is a place where animals seem to be present. Whether these are animals newly created for the new heavens and the new earth, or they are the redeemed souls of our pets that have perished, we can't know for sure.

I can recall nowhere in the Bible that says animals don't go to heaven nor that they don't have a soul-but this omission says plenty to me. The Bible does say that when Jesus comes to this earth a second time and reigns for a thousand years (basically heaven on earth) that the child will play with the lion or something to that effect. The Bible also says to take care of your animals but for the most part, the most significant thing is the lack of anything about animals at all in the Bible. The soul and the spirit are two different things by the way. God breathed life into man and created a living soul. The spirit is what returns to God and is what Christians get upon entering heaven-a spiritual, glorified body. When a new heaven and new earth are created (Revelations chapter 21), there is no mention of animals at all. Humans are the crowning act of creation. We were made specifically to commune with God. In His image means being able to communicate, create, reason, think and love-which animals cannot do. It is the work of the devil for humans to think that we are just another animal as so many people want to believe. Yes, God does care for them though. Jesus (God in the flesh who walked this earth) said that God the Father knows when a sparrow falls to the ground and that the number of hairs on our head are counted. God created the animals and proclaimed it good. The Bible says to let the oxen eat where they tread, meaning take care of them for they are a blessing to us. We are supposed to have dominion over them as well as plants-not vice-versa like when people are addicted to heroin, tobacco and the like.

We are told in Ecc. 3: 19 & 20: "For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust." So we see that we all return to the dust when we die.
But remember, from the beginning it was God’s purpose for the human family to dwell on earth forever in a paradise. He created us with a desire to live forever as stated at Ecclesiastes 3:11: “He has also set eternity in the hearts of men.” Animals have no sense of time, mankind does. Animals have no sense of what will happen to them when they die -- mankind does. Animals do not question whether they will live forever -- mankind does.
God also promised a resurrection for billions of people: “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Those who then love God and neighbor will hear the words of the King Jesus Christ: “Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world.”—John 5:28, 29; Matthew 25:34.
The animals will not be resurrection because this promise is for those who love God and neighbor -- animals do not have the ability to love a God who they have not seen. But we CAN expect to have animals with us in the paradise, just not resurrection animals.

Anyone who believes the animals don't have souls either has never had a pet or is not paying attention. Animals are so loving when you love them that it's obvious to me that their dear little souls do indeed have a place in heaven. Only a soulless person would observe an animal as not having a soul, or observe a person as not having one :-) What you call projection.

We are not anybodies greatest creation. Even though we are also animals, all the others have the brains and ability to use the resources of the world to sustain themselves and their families, but leave everything intact for all those still to come. That, my friend is "basic intelligence". Completely lacking in " God's great creation ".

I believe our family pets will have a special place in heaven
GENESIS 9: 14-17
When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things. When the bow is in the clouds I shall see it and call to mind the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth, that is, all living things. `That' God told Noah, `is the sign of the covenant I have established between myself and all living things on earth.'
ISAIAH 11:6-9
And the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed, their young ones shall lie down together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice's den. They shall not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
JOB 12:7-10
You have only to ask the cattle, for them to instruct you, and the birds of the sky, for them to inform you. The creeping things of earth will give you lessons, and the fish of the sea provide you an explanation: there is not one such creature but will know that the hand of God has arranged things like this! In his hand is the soul of every living thing and the breath of every human being!
PSALM 50:9-11
I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine.
PSALMS 50:10-11
For all forest creatures are mine already, the animals on the mountains in their thousands. I know every bird in the air, whatever moves in the fields is mine.
PSALM 136:25
...And who gives food to every creature. His love endures forever.
PROVERBS 12:10
A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal
ECCLESIASTES 3:19-21
Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath, man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust and to dust all return. Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?
LUKE 12:6
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before god.

And God said, "Let the earth bring forth every kind of animal livestock, small animals, and wildlife." And so it was. God made all sorts of wild animals, livestock, and small animals, each able to reproduce more of its own kind. And God saw that it was good. (Gen 1:24-25)
So the LORD God formed from the soil every kind of animal and bird. He brought them to Adam to see what he would call them, and Adam chose a name for each one. He gave names to all the livestock, birds, and wild animals. (Gen 1:19-20)
-----
This is all I have ever read about the animals. But I have never read anything about what's going to happen to them in the day of Judgment. Scripture tells us that humans living and dead will be raised to everlasting glory or everlasting shame, but no mention of the animals.
God Bless

There is no scripture to support YOU going to heaven, let alone animals. God's Kingdom will be established here on Earth, not in heaven. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in Earth, as it is in heaven," (Matthew 6:10). Furthermore, animals behave instinctively. They exist both for man's survival and for his enjoyment. There is therefore no logic to these creatures being made accountable for their sins. God is not the author of confusion.
