My husband and I have just moved down here to FL, and we are looking for a loving Church home that is not far from where we live in West Broward. Any suggestions?

If you believe in god I am really not interested in your opinion on the matter, so I request "believers" don't answer. I am simply fascinated with assisted suicide since Dr. Kevorkian and Terri Schiavo have brought the issue to the forefront of American culture. Do Atheists think it is a good idea to euthanize people who are suffering or brain dead? Would you personally want your "plug pulled"? I ask this question respectfully, so PLEASE no foolish answers.

Why do some people who have dissed God, feel that Christians live a hypocritical life(of which not a single one is beyond reproach)? Yes, there are the fanatics out there, religious, political, and every other nutcase under the sun which poisons the well...

But, is it really God which makes one "feel guilty" or is it the accountability factor which really makes people uncomfortable? In our no-fault, it wasn't me, finger pointing society, which is extremely vindictive and unforgiving, is it any wonder, God gets a bad rap?

Does man bastardize God? Or do our actions(or lack of action) condemn us? Enslave us?

We are fighting a war in IRAQ...and praying for our side to win...guess what...there are people on the other side of the world praying to the same God for the same outcome(just like Soccer Moms who want Jimmy/Jane to "win")...and God must me shaking...what have I done?! What have I created here?!

Don't "feel" guilty...make a difference(in you) and others as well.

I see a lot of hispanics (catholic or not) wearing rosary beads??? I have not seen any other race wear them around the neck. When I used to go to church we were not allowed to wear them around the neck... (I am not hispanic). I am just wondering. I know that they are for prayers not for wearing am I correct?

God created the world before He created dinosaurs, and before they became extinct. They needed a place to live, after all. It's a common misconception that the Bible doesn't refer to dinosaurs. Job 40:15 refers to a large animal called "Behemoth". Many scholars suggest this could refer to dinosaurs. Behemoth has the following attributes according to Job 40:15-24:
- It “eats grass like an ox.”
- It “moves his tail like a cedar.” (In Hebrew, this literally reads, “he lets hang his tail like a cedar.”)
- Its “bones are like beams of bronze,
- His ribs like bars of iron.”
- “He is the first of the ways of God.”
- “He lies under the lotus trees, In a covert of reeds and marsh.”
Furthermore, Job 3:8, Job 41, Psalm 74:14; 104:25-26, and Isaiah 27:1 refer to a sea-going reptile known as Leviathan. Leviathan is probably a reference to kronosaurus or liopleurodon. The word "dinosaur" isn't found in the Bible

Men are supposed to be the head of the house but what if the wife makes more money so the dad switches roles and takes care of the kids? Is this frowned upon by other Christians? I would like to hear your thoughts! I'm not talking about free loaders who sit on the couch all day! I'm talking cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, doctor visits, watching kids, and the whole works!

The master, Jesus said, "Seek and you will find." He also said, "If the blind lead the blind they will all fall into a ditch." These same thoughts can be found in the teachings of all masters throughout history. I use the christian quotes because it is the newest and the one most people are familiar with.

Those who accept without question what they are told by others is the truth from the masters, this additional question. How do you know you are not being blinded by a blind person unless you question what you are being told and put it to the test?

The scripture says when Adam fell it envoked the curse of sin meaning every person born afterwards would be born with a sin nature. What the bible is describing is a nature that is in total rebellion against God 24 hours a day seven days a week. This rebellion generates desires to do evil things like rape, shedding innocent blood, stealing, etc.
It is called the Sin Nature and according to the bible it is not even able to subject itself to God and sometimes it overwhelms the person causing dilemmas like good people snapping and comitting horroble acts. You ARE able to ask God to come coexist inside of you and give you power to resist this sin nature and find health, peace and heaven too. Dosen't that at least make sense?

These people wandering around these same love marriage loving TV crews pushing their books about your inner child are so full of it.

ONly Jesus can give you the satisfaction that you are craving.

When I was led into uncharacteristic sin during the 70's, I was so happy that Jesus took me into his nest and gave me freedom from what had happened. I was led wrong, and had to get back to myself to make it right again! It wasn't my fault! It was in the sin of Adam that led us wrong, and only Jesus saves!

See, I was naive just like you then! You can actually be an adult! You job now is to quit your 15 year old act and become a real grown up with Jesus Christ. I've given you the avenue, take it for once in your life.

What happens when you give yourself to Jesus? You are forgiven and born anew! No more listening to the philly in Europe with her director telling her the messages to send to you. You will be independent, dependent only on the love of an incredible saviour and willful man.

No more watching guys walk with other guys, while they go off into a corner and sneak a quick smooch out of the way of others who they don't think see. No more taking pictures like that for photo albums!

Suppose you found your brother in bed with your wife, an put a javelin through both of them, you would be justified, and they would atone for their sins, and be received into the kingdom of God. I would at once do so in such a case; and under such circumstances, I have no wife whom I love so well that I would not put a javelin through her heart, and I would do it with clean hands.

There is not a man or woman, who violates the covenants made with their God, that will not be required to pay the debt. The blood of Christ will never wipe that out, your own blood must atone for it;

Why cant we exchange ideas in a mature and knowledgable fashion? I mean not calling the opposing ideas stupid or unreal. Christians have their faith, and they are to be kind and loving even toward the "enemy". Unfortunitally many are not. I think they need to think about how they are acting and say to themselves "what would Jesus do"? You would get many more people to believe you faith if you were kind and knowledgable about it. Atheists, wouldn't it be better if you showed some class, not putting down Christians. You are only being immature when your only answer to many Queations is "Because God doesn't exist" or "Stupid Christians need to realize..." Just like the Christians, you are not going to get people to become Atheist like that.

Please start being kind and not a smart a**, and debate in a mature fashion.

From yahoo.com

"Sometime around the universe's one billionth birthday, the first stars and galaxies began to shine and ionized all of the hydrogen atoms in the universe (or removed an electron from each atom). The quasar's bright light illuminates the hydrogen gas in front of it, which lets astronomers see whether the atoms still have their electrons attached or not, which could help pin down the date of this momentous event.

The quasar might also be able to help astronomers learn about the growth of the first black holes; the black hole powering this quasar is estimated to be about 500 million times the mass of the sun, which is thought to be unusual for an early black hole.

"It is puzzling how such enormous black holes are found so early on in the universe ... because we believe that black holes take a long time to grow," said team member John Hutchings of the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics. "

Your thoughts?

I very much believe the Flesh is weak but the Spirit is strong in Christ.

I know one time I asked Jesus for healing, and did a 3 day fast in prayer, I was shocked it came so easy to do and I was healed, yet one weekend I thought I am going to fast as I wanted to loose 7 lbs I couldn't do it I was so hungry and after 20 hrs needed to eat something..
What about you?
