God created poison ivy and poison oak too and they are not illegal... why not smoke that.. because it is even more stupid than smoking marijuana.

Three reasons
1) It is many times more destructive to the neurological and respiratory system than tobacco (which I think you have to be kind of daft to use too)

2) It is a gateway drug. Anyone that has gotten addicted to the hard drugs had tried it first. Not all that use it go on to the hard stuff but ALL the hard drug users used marijuana first.

3) Because the people using it now are basically funding the gangs and violence and social decay we see in alot of the cities! Every joint some pot head buys is some more money that the dealer will use to buy more drugs and more guns so he can protect and shoot the other dealers.

Man ABUSED the marijuana in such a way that it had to be declared illegal. I'm sure God had a purpose for it. Just look at the medical marijuana users for pain, glaucoma and etc. If man could ever figure out the RIGHT way to use it, it wouldn't be immoral or illegal.

The reason it is illegal has nothing to do with God. It's our government and the power they like to have and the ability to control.

Marijuana is illegal not because people abuse it. It is illegal because it brings people together and opens their mind to a different way of thinking. If you've ever smoked marijuana you would know this because most people consume marijuana around other people,in groups and usually the topic of conversation is something so off the wall that it seems silly when you are sober, but the fact that it gets people talking and thinking about new and different ideas. This is what scares the government and thats why marijuana is illegal
Because they don't want us thinking for ourselves they want us to feel that we need government we need control when thats not really true at all.

well as i see it God did create marijuana and with the intent that we would use it but then theres the gov and society that make it an evil thing. By filling peoples heads with sh** like its a gate way drug and oh so dangerous. I don't know maybe it is but have u ever herd of any one getting high and beating there wives or getting in fights or killing people. I have heard of lots of drunk people doing those things and they allow Booz to be legal. But back to the point God did create it and intend us to use it so what can i say Man Kind is stupid they'd rather legalize things that r relay dangerous [smokes,booz,guns.....]. But u see with those things they can make money off us it would be a little harder to legaly sell and make money on pot well for the gov LOL

God created the Tree of Knowlegde of Good and Evil and that was illegal for Adam and Eve.

We are to obey civil authority where it doesn't go against God's law. So, God would have had to command us to partake of that in order for it to be ok to break that law.

Romans 13:1Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

1 Peter 2:13Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme,

Our U.S. government made it illegal early in the 20th century because back then whites feared and hated blacks, and they blamed race related crimes on "marijuana crazed ******" and convinced the American public that pot makes people violent and crazy. Basically it was made illegal on false premises, and has just stayed that way ever since. Now, it stays illegal because the government would lose money from those imprisoned for trafficing it and useing it. As a recreational substance it impairs a person less than alcohol when it comes to reaction time, physical coordination, and higher reasoning. And it is less damaging to the lungs than tobacco. FYI

God created arsenic, too. Why is that illegal? God created hemlock, too. Why is that illegal?

That said, the marijuana laws were created by people and not by God. Simple.

let's see, God created the distance between the top of a mountain and the bottom of valley and while there is no law that prohibits me from jumping from the top of that mountain the law of gravity tells me I will die when I hit the valley below.

God created the grapes that make the wine I drink. However, if I abuse that wine and get behind the wheel of a car I break the laws of nature and humanity by putting others and myself in danger.

It is not about what God created. It is about how we use what was created.

If God created iron ore, why is it illegal to murder someone with a knife? I admit the analogy is awkward, but the point remains: there is an appropriate use and an inappropriate use for marijuana. An appropriate use might include ground cover, erosion control, decorative landscaping, manufacture of rope, clothing, or perhaps to help control pain and nausea in cancer patients.

An inappropriate use is for purposes of intoxication for the same reasons that God opposes alcohol abuse.

There are many things that are natural and supposedly created by God, but it doesn't mean that they are benefical to use. Marijuana may be in nature, but that doesn't mean that we should be smoking it. Poison Ivy is in nature too, but I don't think that you are going to be making a bed out of it anytime soon.
