The "Journal of Discourses" is a vehicle of doctrine, counsel, and instruction to all people, but especially to the Saints. It follows, then, then, that each successive volume is more and more valuable as the Church increases in numbers and importance in the earth, and its doctrines become more abundantly developed and are brought into practical exercise by His peculiar people. Every step of its advancement is fraught with the greatest possible importance to the human family. No Saint can afford to do without these precious precepts until they are able to exemplify them in their daily lives and conversation.
Author: Brigham Young

And be happy even though they are evil to the core, and the good religious people get cancer and suffer a horrible fate? I am tired of seeing good caring people I love die of cancer and the horrible souless people going on and enjoying life. It is not right, it is wrong plain and simple!

Romans 3:28 (Paul)
KJV: a man is JUSTIFIED by FAITH apart from WORKS of the law.
RSV: a man is JUSTIFIED by FAITH without the DEEDS of the law.
NIV: a man is JUSTIFIED by FAITH apart from OBSERVING THE LAW.

James 2:24 (James)
KJV: by WORKS a man is JUSTIFIED, and not by FAITH only.
RSV: a man is JUSTIFIED by WORKS and not by FAITH alone.
NIV: a person is JUSTIFIED by what he DOES and not by FAITH alone.

Clearly, James seems to be saying exactly the opposite of what Paul says. Christians call this God Inspired, Wow?

I mean, you don't like the question/answer, SKIP IT!!!!

You don't have to read what you dislike, just as much as everyone else does not HAVE TO conform to your mentality....

This is a message to all the intolerant-yet-pious users in this forum, who seem to have misunderstood the terms "fredom" and "free will".

I never report you for telling me "God Bless You" or other offensive remarks. Never EVER. You may ALWAYS speak your minds for all I care.

Even atheists can practice buddhism to reach a state on which sofference cease to exhist as ones state of mind is able to overcome it
it is not at all a matter of religion.....
one should trust in personal potentiality rather than external deity, only the teacher is very important at the beginning, than it is only up to the person to proceed on the path to freedom

When I ask a question, I want and expect a good answer, not someone saying go to college, you are ignorant, ect.

I am a Christian, and I have doubts about what I believe. I also have many doubts about Atheism. I am not stupid, but I do not claim to know everything either. I would like to see this forum be a place for people to question their own beliefs as well as those of others.

No one here can prove to anyone else whether or not a certain religious belief is true. That being said, why not consider valid questions instead of wrighting them off as stupid/uninformed.

I know many homosexuals say they are born this way that sexual idenity is determined in the womb, and I am not saying yes or no on that either, as a Christian I can say I really don't know what causes a person to identify in this way, but my question is: When something is not of what we *Traditionally*
have thought was normal, who gets to determine
there behaviour by saying *I am born this way* I have been reading a article on Preists who are pedophiles and All of them say they are *Born this Way* and since many of the preists thought the greater sin was being homosexual than a pedophile because homosexuality is identified in the bible and pedophilia is not, what is your thoughts on this?

Hypothetical #1:
You own a hotel in America. You have a reservation for an "A&S Smith" from Canada on their honeymoon. They show up, marriage certificate in hand, and turn out to be Adam and Steve Smith, just married in Toronto, Canada. They've reserved the Honeymoon Suite and have been promised all the treatment customarily given to newly-weds.

What do you do?

Hypothetical #2:
You run a hospital in America. You are responsible for deciding which family member makes the decisions for incapacitated patients (those who cannot speak for themselves).

An ambulance shows up with Adam and Steve Smith inside. Adam is fine but poor Steve was hit by a truck while crossing the road. Steve is in a coma. Adam insists that being Steve's lawfully wedded spouse he has the responsibility to make decisions on Steve's behalf.

What do you do?
