No, just charismatic. Most were illiterate ,themselves, if they existed at all. Mohammed and Joseph Smith both had someone else take dictation for them. Jesus never wrote anything. All the stuff about him was written decades after he died, if he existed at all. Moses, Abraham, Adam and most of the other characters in the Bible are most likely just made up characters. The stuff written about Moses, for example, was written hundreds of years after when he was supposedly to have lived. Most also just borrowed and plagiarized from existing myth. Others later edited the works into something more intelligible. At most, they were good storytellers.

First of all, I am DEFINITELY not dumb and I will NOT let myself be manipulated by some kind of religion.
On the one hand I do, but on the other hand I don't care one little bit about traditions or church or whatever.

I have a living relationship with God.

I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

He has never been just a good man, but either:
a liar
a lunetic
or The Lord

a good man (as many people call Jesus) can't be a liar, and He wasn't a lunetic.
He isn't Lord because we made Him Lord, but because He claims to be God and son of YHWH.
(and considering He isn't a lunetic or a liar...)

Many people have been manipulated and stayed in church for centuries. Unluckily, this church was dead. It didn't have the Holy Spirit. (So I don't know why they stayed).
Luckily people are starting to believe in His works again. People call them charismatic. But they are just how the church should be (for the less charismatic: the Bible is clear about the work of the Holy Spirit) (for the 'charismatic': know the Bible, that's our base)

I follow Christ because He lives. He leads my life and guides me. I can't imagine living without Him as my Lord.
Many people who at adult age became christian are so happy about the change.
THERE IS A TRUE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HAVING CHRIST AS LORD OR NOT.
I'll ask this question here, so you can see.

What do I think about other religions?
YHWH has shown some of His glory and truth to other people (non Jews). So there is quite some truth in these religions, and mankind knows how to manipulate others.

The reason I didn't choose for these is because of the DIFFERENCE I was talking about earlier.

And by the way, true christians don't manipulate but SHOW (the Love)

The human species has been manipulated by "religious" leaders from the time we formed bands, or groups, or tribes, etc. In the beginning, these religious leaders were members of the group who were considered "healers". They used roots, leaves, tree bark, flowers, animal parts, and sometimes human blood to concoct potions. They provided these concoctions to the afflicted to, hopefully, cure the disorder.
These "shaman" could be either gender. They passed their knowledge of the curative properties provided by the selected plants to a member of the tribe who displayed characteristics
necessary to be a spiritual leader.
Occasionally, a shaman would use the value accorded them by members of the group for personal gain.
I have the theory that those who have the gold, in
the early evolution of our species, it was the power, make the rules. Language as we know it had to evolve as well. Illiteracy by definition is the lack knowledge necessary to read. Our ancient ancestors used pictographs as their written language. They understood the meanings of those symbols, so they really weren't illiterate.
I agree that "spiritual" leaders from the beginning of our evolution used the power accorded them by the tribe for control and manipulation. Opportunity for selfish gain was exploited by some of these "spiritual" leaders.

No, I do not agree. perhaps Mohammad, budda, Krishna, yes. But if you knew anything about the life of Jesus, you would see that he LOVED, he did not teach anything but love. Love for your neighbor, for your family, for you people, for you nation, even love for your enemies. Jesus taught that we should care for the poor, that women are just as important as men, that children are our future. That life is worth living. Manipulation was not his way. When you care for people, people know that, you do not need to manipulate to see results. and by the Jesus did not create god, he was, is, and always will be GOD.

I agree to a point however, Jesus didn't create a religion, he was born into a new religion (Christianity). But yes, every leader has an element of charisma but I also think there is an element of fear that is played upon.

I don't believe in any religion, per se', but Christianity started 400 after the death of Jesus. Jesus was a man that lived by certain principles. he didn't prescribe to any religion.

No, You Must have never fully read and studied the Bible, Christianity is not about my control, but being freed from the bondage of sin. Jesus never forced anyone to believe and he spoke against those that pretended to be spiritual but inside were hateful. To many Faith in Christ is not based on emotions, but Facts and Logic.

How can one be "born into" a religion named after him? Yes, religion is a way to control the uneducated masses. Look at its effect on the peasants of the dark ages.

Well, since most people today still believe at least one of those person's teachings and most people are neither simple nor illiterate I think that rules that out.

Yes, I agree. Mankind still explains what it doesn't know with religion and superstition. It is funny how many modern diseases were once attributed to demonic possession. Natural disasters were punishment from God. Oh wait, I forgot he is a loving God, He killed his son so now floods are just nature being nature.
