Yes. Just cuz Christians say God is real, homosexuality is wrong and abortion is evil doesn't mean the people who do those things are going to stop. Just cuz Atheists, Homosexuals, and Pro-Choicers think Christians are hillbilly redneck fanatics doesn't mean it's true. Just cuz atheists say "Proove God exists," and we can't doesn't mean Christians will say, "Golly, he's right, there must be no God!"

It does get tiring.

These are about the only three topics that Christians are motivated by presently and it's a sad indictment of their movement if it's raison d'etre comes down to denying or removing peoples civil freedoms and subverting science isn't it.

The other issue is assisted death or euthanasia for those whose quality of life is becoming so unbearable they would rather die in a more dignified way... but Christians refuse them this mercy even... it's a case of "you must do as I preach" unfortunately.

I do, but those subjects affect peoples' lives.

I know that issues like same-sex marriage are diversions from issues that affect everyone, like war and the environment. I know! But as a bi woman who loves a woman, I'm the diversion, even though I never asked to be one, and my real life will really be affected if I don't speak up.

I enjoy answering a genuine question on those subjects. What I get tired of is people who come on here simply to ridicule with their questions and waste our time.

Don't usually bother any more, maybe it's an age thing but I've given up trying to persuade others of my convictions. The only thing to be gotten out of such volatile subjects to different-minded people is hostility. Live and let live.

Yes. Everybody keeps repeating the same old arguments & rebuttals, and it is obvious that no one is really considering the other side's point of view in an intellegent way.
