When I ask a question, I want and expect a good answer, not someone saying go to college, you are ignorant, ect.

I am a Christian, and I have doubts about what I believe. I also have many doubts about Atheism. I am not stupid, but I do not claim to know everything either. I would like to see this forum be a place for people to question their own beliefs as well as those of others.

No one here can prove to anyone else whether or not a certain religious belief is true. That being said, why not consider valid questions instead of wrighting them off as stupid/uninformed.

Interesting thought. When you write in an abrasive tone you set yourself up for a variety of responses.

Well said, vballa19

It seems that the buzz words from non believers is ignorant, stupid, saphead, hypocrite, bigot, laughable and much more. They claim to be tolerant and open minded, but with these words prove that is impossible. Ignore them. They are immature and have nothing better to do with their time than persecute Christians.

Everyone doubts now and then. Non of us know it all. We base our belief on faith. Faith can be hard at times, especially on a forum like this where you are hearing all kinds of different opinions. You are right, no one can prove what religion is right and no one can prove whether there is or isn't a God.

As a Christian, you know that everyone has a "god shaped hole" inside that only Christ can fill. It is that empty void that you feel before becoming a christian. Being a Christian doesn't automatically mean that everything will be perfect or that we will have all the answers. That is where good bible teaching comes into play. Read the book of Luke to help ground you. It is the story of Jesus and will help you remember why you are a christian.

Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the father but by me." God Bless You

Thank you! I support your attitude. I believe this forum should be a place of intelligent discussion between informed people with differing experiences and opinions. If an intelligent question is asked there should be no reason why an intelligent answer shouldn't follow. It just makes sense that if someone answers a question then they should back it up with logical, or at least open minded evidence. NOTE: Logic does not eliminate faith. Also, if you feel a question is uninformed, then respectfully inform the asker, rather than insulting them, their family, their dog, and their third grade teacher.

A lot of people on here are immature. Honest -- no kidding.

Some cannot help it, because they actually are children (some as young as 10 or 12). You have to realize that it is the young folks who spend the most time on their computer. The older, more mature folks have to earn a living, so we don't get to respond as much.

Having said that, just ignore the responses that you don't like. Don't take it personally if some immature twit feels like mocking someone. He has no idea who you are, so what someone else says here is nothing personal about you.

I'm glad that you at least question your own faith. I get upset when someone dives in because they have been told to and don't even truly explore what it is to be a Christian. Not that I believe all Christians are that way, mind you.

One would hope that a "Religion & Spirituality" section would bring out the better sides of people, instead of inspiring hatred and a war of the words. It's my belief that we should be holding intelligent conversations (where people can agree to be adults and agree to disagree) instead of resorting to hateful speech.

Sadly, both atheists and religious folk alike sink to the same level. Intelligent conversation seems to be thrown out the window and replaced with childish retorts.

If you can, TRY not to take it personally. Even people who come on here, suicidal, desperate for help, will receive a few snarky answers. There are just....monsters like that out there.

The good on here far outweighs the bad. Try to look at the serious responders and the respectful ones and ignore the bad.

Because those acting that way are ignorant, biased and hateful of God. They blame God for the hurts in life instead of taking the responsibility upon them self. It's important for people who are intelligent not to just dismiss something or believe something without aggressively pursuing truth. They would rather remain ignorant then put the effort in. I applaud you for seeking the truth and not letting your doubts fester into unbelief. I hope you find all the answers you are looking for and don't let those that want to just spout their hate detour you.

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between that kind of question and trolling. Sounds like you're being treated as a troll. Have you been explaining WHY you ask?

[Edit] Wait a minute! All you care about is Volleyball! The only R&S questions you have EVER asked have been attacks on Atheists. Why would you LIE about that? Go back to playing volleyball.

You mean, you want an intelligent question/answer? You realize that's blasphemous here, right?
