As christian parents is it healthy for us to encourage our sons and daughters to date while they are in the pre and teen years?
Can these experiences do positive or negative things for them and how have you seen it affect young people in your generation.

A time and season for everything....How can we teach our young people this in relation to dating and courtship and marriage as christian parents and youth workers.

If any of us have the little sense of mercy, that we do not have the heart to let people in Hellfire eternally or even a an hour or a minute;

would that look God is less merciful? ,

..which contradicts to the name of The Most Merciful as stated in all our Holy books?

We know that people are given their entire life to choose Heaven or Hell. But if I created a life that disobeyed me or that was misled by other false religions which against me, I might punish the life, but oh no..., not to the extend to torch the life eternally.

I think- yes, God has hell & heaven, but He is still The Most Merciful; whereby the level of mercy compared to mine is much more greater.

10 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the afear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.
12 And yet indeed she is my asister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

without the inner experience belief crumbles and falls by the wayside. This is why some people cannot and will never buy into Christianity for this one fact alone.

I did it and I am ashamed of it now and I feel horrible. I have done it a couple of times but I have vowed to myself that I shall no longer do it again but I feel somhow impure and I don't know but is there anyway to cleanse myself of THAT sin of adultery? Please don't give any negative comments because I am extremely guilt ridden especially when I see my parents (we are an extremely Christian family.)

As parents today how do we feel about this matter of disciplining our kids. How effective has this form of discipline affected you as a person. If you were spanked as a child has this helped you or made you worse. Also.. the difference between spanking and beating. Is there a scriptural basis for this method of discipline.

I've seen this many times, groups of worshippers which appear to be Christian because they have a long crucifix necklace and a long black cloaklike thing, have long beards, and sometimes where hats with crosses?? This is sort of similar to that one character with the beard and long black suit and cross that you see in that Chuck Norris movie Delta Force, and gets shot i think.. I was just wondering what are they called?

I highly doubt Yahoo cares, but when I cancelled $1000/year of various advertising and hosting services 30 minutes ago, I specifically said that my unwarranted account deletion by unhinged Answers Staff was the sole reason.

When asked, Answers told me I was deleted for "impersonating a donkey". That's a quote. THAT is why I was deleted.

If any of you really believed I was a donkey, you probably shouldn't be answering question to start with.

I realize that people of all different religions insult others who have different beliefs, including atheists. But this question is directed to (not all) the Christians, being that I recently was verbally attacked by a group of fundamentalist Christians. I am an atheist, and my definition of evil is bringing harm to another human being. My feeling is that if you do something that doesn't hurt anyone or doesn't have the capacity to hurt someone (like drunk driving), then it's ok to do. I have always tried my best to be a good person. I have made mistakes because I'm not perfect, but I don't intentionally try and hurt others. So why is it that although my personal beliefs have no effect on these so called Christians, then why did this group of Christians feel the need to yell at me and call me evil and tell me I'm going to hell? Why can't you just privately disagree with me, and leave me alone the same way I leave you alone?

I'm just curious. I'm a part of a Unitarian Universalist congregation and personally a Wiccan, so the answer for me is a resounding YES.
IF so, what enviormentally friendly practices have you incorporated into your daily/weekly life?
IF not, why?
I'm not preaching about global warming. Just curious how many people's spirtual awareness is connected to their compassion for the ecosystem.
