Hi I have been a christian believer for 30 years. baptized, speak in tongues, study the Bible try to do good etc as to masturbation, it is probably true that every human being has erotic thoughts and entertains them at times. I would be lying if l said l didn't. I have discussed this with God in prayer. and nothing has changed in that area. Even as a married woman. All l can say is in scripture it says cast all your worries on Him because he cares.. About sin... Everyone sins , even the greatest of christians. We were born that way. Only Jesus passed through this world as blameless. we aren't going to make that standard here on earth. Don't feel guilty. While we live on this this earth, in this body, we will never be able to be perfect in the sight of God. When the new Kingdom comes at the resurrection you will be made perfect in God's sight Hope this helps.. I bet loves you so much because you want to please Himm regards Susan...

It's a matter of much debate whether or not masterbation is actually a sin according to the Bible, especially since masterbation is not directly mentioned in the Bible as a sin. Many Christians seem to argue that the lust associated with it is what is a sin. However, I believe it is possible to masterbate solely for the pleasure of it and for the release of your natural human desires. In either case, if you are single, I can't see how you could possibly commit adultery. If you aren't single, lusting after your spouse is allowed, is it not? It would be hard to determine for sure whether it would be a sin to masterbate while lusting after your spouse.
Personally, I don't think there is any reason to feel guilty about masterbation. Even from the Bible's perspective, I think you need to just make sure it doesn't rule your life or cause you to have unhealthy attitudes towards the opposite sex. Lust itself isn't bad, but lusting after things that are immoral is.
Either way masterbation's morality is open to interpretation.

Good for you, Anna, and the fact that your conscience is bothering you means God has not forsaken you.
Masturbation focuses your attention on sexuality before you are married and prepares the way for an unwise future.
In addition, you may build your desires excessively high, and the fluids lost in sexual contact contain nutrients that are not easily replaced in the diet. It effects mental, skeletal, and connective tissue. Often can lead to night blindness, flaking skin, nervous prostration, and stunting of growth.
It is obvious in males because they tend to loose more fluids, and may also include premature baldness, hollow chestedness from a dwarfed sternum, and a reddish complexion that appears sun burned or skin that flakes away.
Obviously you need to pray for restraint, God does not want you to do what the Word calls "sins of the flesh", that you will not see God by doing.
And if you were a male, I'd tell you that God has provided a way for nocturnal releases to automatically discharge pressures. If that mechanism is not working, the pressures will build until it rips tissue internally and cause real medical problems, often permanent. In that case, a coordinated release may be in order, say twice a month as pressures build.
There is a web site listing more, but I was unable to locate it.
You say you are a Christian, then you may be interested in a Bible code at http://abiblecode.tripod.com

just repent and ask for forgiveness, turn from your sin and spit on it. Control yourself in the future, and dont look at women lustfully. Women begin as children and end as old women. Look at them the way you look at people, and never like that again. Be more confidant. Start running or something, and never do it again, pray about it for weeks if you must.

Rid yourself of the sin? You pray and ask forgiveness and you repent and you don't do it again. If you are from an extremely Christian family, you should already know this. I'm not bashing you but, your question doesn't come across as one who has read the Bible.

this can be a really troubling situation for a young person...i invite you to consider that the process of self release is not a sin. all of us have hormonal urges and to the extent that we manage these without involving others through our own selfishness and gratification it could be easier to deal with. i realise it can be confusing for a Christian, but my minister helped me greatly when i was young in understanding this physical nature of my being and he was good counsel.

Depending on how close you are to your parents, ask your father if he did the same at your age. Ask it in a hypothetical way, as if one of your friends did it, if you can't confess to doing it yourself. Chances are, that he did. He survived, so will you. It is not a mortal sin. Just something which isn't spoken about.

Masterbation is better than going out & raping someone,Hon!
Just try to keep it down to a minimum or else you will have trouble functioning with your mate when you get married if you are a male,or female.
Masterbation is not adultery! It is a form of fornication, but I believe you are truly sorry & that is enough for God.

If masturbation is a sin, then I would estimate that about 99% of the human population is going to hell.

Do you have a personal relationship with God through Christ? That's the first step. Repent and ask God to give you the strength to overcome.
