Remember when Jesus called Lazarus to come forth. Lazarus came back from the dead, hopped out all wrapped up in his burial cloths. Lazarus had to do quite a bit for himself there didn't he? Well Jesus asks us to do somethings for ourselves. He also gives us free will and a brain. Earth is not Heaven...there is sunburn, sickness, suffering, death, war, etc. Earth is where we learn to feed the hungry, tend to the sick, learn to stand for what is right and protect those that are bullied and hurt whether at home, school, town, country, or even other countries that bully. We love to blame our leaders for all the ills in the world, but we let a lot of them happen. We let things fester too long. We don't prune problems in the bud, be it parenting, lawbreakers, or Hitlers, Stalins, Idi Amins, or Saddams. God expects us to learn!!!

Yeah, just as non-Christians can pray to Gaea, Mother Earth, a tree, Charles Darwin, Carl Sagan, etc.!
It is written, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord your God." God has given us a mind with which to reason, and He expects us to use it! If Adam hadn't sinned, we would not be in danger of getting sunburned!

I'm a christian and I don't put sunscreen on and I just tan not burn, anyway the reason is you have our free angency to choose what we want. So if we want to go outside with sunscreen than we do, but if we don't then most of us have to pay for our bad choice.

God gave us free will. If you decide not to put sunscreen on, that is your fault; He also gave us the freedom to be stupid.
Plus, God always answers prayers. That doesn't always mean He says yes...
P.S- Maybe you should be out getting "fire insurance" instead of asking dumb questions.

Because they know that prayer doesn't work. THEY KNOW IT!
Otherwise they would give the money they use to buy sunscreen to poor people, like the Bible says, and pray that they don't get a sunburn. Get it?

because if God only burned the non believers, then it wouldn't be fair and very christian like. and praying for such a small thing like that is just stupid anyway. you obviously aren't a christian. so i wish you the best of luck in life.

How is this for an answer......It is only common sense to be aware of what is happening to your body. As you put it concerning praying......."God" wants you also to use your own brain. Praying that you don't get sunburned is...What???...Silly??? DUH!!!! Peace and Love :):):)

Because that would be foolish. We are suppose to do what we can do (such as put on sunscreen) and we pray to Him for what we can't do.
