If any of us have the little sense of mercy, that we do not have the heart to let people in Hellfire eternally or even a an hour or a minute;

would that look God is less merciful? ,

..which contradicts to the name of The Most Merciful as stated in all our Holy books?

We know that people are given their entire life to choose Heaven or Hell. But if I created a life that disobeyed me or that was misled by other false religions which against me, I might punish the life, but oh no..., not to the extend to torch the life eternally.

I think- yes, God has hell & heaven, but He is still The Most Merciful; whereby the level of mercy compared to mine is much more greater.

thats why i find christian universalism, and eastern philosophy to be much more in tune to the character of god, and much less of a tyrannical justification. When christ was beaten he turned the other cheek, and forgave his oppressors. Christs heart was not set on torturing them for countless billions of years in a horrible furnace. That sounds like a very morbid babylonian god doesn't it? When the hebrews sacrificed their children to Moloch, by burning them in the vally of gehinnom, god said that it was never in his mind to do such a thing. Every person born is a creation, and child of god that is dear to him. I understand that they are all given the chance to repent and turn to him in life, even years of chances, and some will remain stiff necked, but that was obviously part of the plan. There wouldn't be a prophecy of doom for the earth if it were possible for all of us to be saved. We would be out fighting the good fight with resilience, and winning. There would be a happy possible outcome for humanity on earth if it wasn't a part of his plan that salvation is for the few and chosen. I sincerely doubt that gods plan includes the infinite and eternal torture of countless billions of souls in a horrible grisly pit of white hot flame. Also the idea of eternal punishment wasn't prevalent in the early church, it was spread mainly after the following of christ became a state run operation in rome. I trust that his earliest followers were closest to him. During the dark ages christianity was suited for the aristocracy of Europe, who frequently burned, tortured, massacred, and enslaved the rest of humanity all in the name of god.

The level of mercy you speak of rewards disobedience. The mercy that God speak of is that He is giving us time and space to come unto Him and reject this world which is vanity.

He is lone suffering in that He wish that none should perish; but some will because they have made a choice to do so.

False religion are no excuse. You can read the bible, by voice tapes or CD of the bible; in other words there are no excuses.

If you do not want to go to hell then obey God from His inspired word.

The atrocities that Jesus suffered from mankind and for mankind when He gave his life by Crucifixion was the worst any man could ever have or did suffer.
So to deny this great sacrifice of God for us is the choice you make to condemn yourself. It is a free gift that costs you nothing but your belief in the Son of God and asking for forgiveness for your sins. This is a small and little request. To turn it away is to say " thanks for what you did was nothing and means nothing to me". If you think of it in that way, it is not too merciful of you to let Jesus hang on the cross and NOT try to add more sin to his burden He took for you. Be merciful and accept Jesus and give Him a break from our sins.

His mercy is far greater than man can even fathom. He has watched mankind since the day it was created, disobey Him and destroy His beuatiful earth that he gave to man. so it is only resonable to consider Him what he truely is, which is "The Most Merciful"

How could God be more merciful than to be a perfect being and to lay down his flesh, his life for yours? The fact that you wont accept the atonement you have decided it is God's fault he had to pay the penalty of death and then he should, in your opinion also force you to accept it?

I don't; I consider that god is a fiction. The expression comes from Qur'an 1:1 from the Arabic "raheem."
