I know he left Jeresulam cause he was rejected by his own and I am just curious. Also was Jerusalem his his home town? Did Jews originate from Jerusalem as well?

Hello, my name is Phil

I think its fairly clear which way things are shaping up.

With all the Jihads against the west and the President of Iran calling on other Islamic states to anihalate Israel (along with other Jewish nations), its pretty obvious.

In the theoretical war, which side will you be on?

The Christ-Judism alliance versus the Middle east religions, particularly Islam.

I think the catalyst will be the President of Iran's statement:

"The holocaust is the biggest lie of the 20th century!!!"

This is just a theoretical thing, so don't get TOO passionate about it.

Oh, and which side would atheists be under? Not really their own side... But I think they would go with the CJ's.

- Lol yahoo thinks I should put this in "cars and transportation"

Jesus never said anything about it, so when people ask about Homosexuality they are pointed toward Leviticus, but don't Christians not follow the Old Testament Laws? So is that law applicable any more if none of the other Old Testament laws should be followed? Or is that an "exception"?

What's (in your opinion) the most powerful verse in the Bible? ((:

I think it's:

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

oh yes...

Are you all lukewarm in your beliefs or what? You bash science constantly and reject most of its findings, yet you have no problem using computers that wouldn't be in existence without science. Do you reject antibiotics and the internal combustion engine and modern agriculture as well? If you were really committed to your superstitious belief system you should.

The problem with Christianity has never been a problem with Christ, but rather the problem with Christianity is Christians.

quote the bible in here, do they know what they are quoting by heart or are they just copying???
why is it that many times the quote doesnt seem to have any relationship with the question?
a- that is the only thing they know by heart so they just quote the only quote they know regardless of connection to the question.
b- they cannot find a suitable quote for the question so they open the bible at random an let the spirit decide...(with 20000 pages the bible has i understand you cannot find a "logical" answer/quote quick enough...it is understandable)

I always assumed that Jesus would be this handsome, handsome guy on the outside. However, today in bible study I learned that He was good looking. Isaiah 53 describes him.

I grew up as a catholic but I was never taught about how He looked.

Did anyone else know this?

i mean seriously, wtf is with you all? wondering if jesus can shove a watermelon up his bottom.. its so ignorant. like all you have to do all day is sit around and mock us. but, my point is, why do you do it? we have the freedom to believe what we want, but give us some respect. you hardly see christians making fun of people who do magic and blow themselves up to please their gods. i know that our religion isnt very believable, but its called FAITH. believe what you want, but just STAY OUT OF OUR BUSINESS. STOP MOCKING US it gets on my nerves SO MUCH when you ignorant people mock us like that. i mean seriously. i'd really like to know, just, WHY?

Do people not realize that saying god did it is the EXACT SAME THING. Supposedly god created everything from nothing so how exactly is this something that can be used to refute evolution and the big bang?

For those who wish to learn more on how life was actually created google Miller Urey and see how they created essential amino acids from effectively nothing.

Do any of my atheist brothers & sister ever feel moved to feel really good and even celebrate because he or she, as a human being of the 21th century, is unburdened by the sad absurdities of a Bronze Age god of war and genocide and slaughter of the innocent and human sacrifice? I know I do. As I read posts here, I feel the need to ask if perhaps there is a particular gene which causes an intelligent person to wrap him- or herself in a primitive and violent religion. Europe, or a good part of it, seems to be disgarding gods and Isabella-esque moral rot. Our nation, alas, our once bright and shining republic of such hope and promise, appears to be stuck in a growing sinkhole and losing the name of action (an ounce of Hamlet there; I'm sorry). What are your thoughts, my noble atheist comrades? Seriously, I would treasure them.

Even though it is still the best selling book throughout time, most people still can not claim that they have already read the bible thoroughly.
Is there a bible version that is so narrative that you can regard it as a novel (easy to read and understand also thrilling)?
