Do people not realize that saying god did it is the EXACT SAME THING. Supposedly god created everything from nothing so how exactly is this something that can be used to refute evolution and the big bang?

For those who wish to learn more on how life was actually created google Miller Urey and see how they created essential amino acids from effectively nothing.

A group of scientists figured out how create man from the earth and challenged God to a man making contest. They stated they could create a perfect man free from the diseases and disabilities that so many are born with. God agreed and they set date to create man.
God picked up a handful of dirt and created a man "in his image" but made sure he was human. The scientists laughed at the human flaws that were left. Then it was their turn.
They readied their equipment and as they reached for a handful of dirt God said,
"Hey, create your own dirt!"

Whos to say the earth is just a cooling
solar flare, or a clogged up black hole?
Even then with all the right conditions life
exists, could we be a total thinking accident?
I dont feel its possible.

Miller Urey is taking what he feels is early
atmospheric conditions, little did he know
the actual atmosphere is the recipe to life.
Also his experiment didnt support genetic code in making plants and animals, maybe
an experiment derrived to find out may take
2 million years to get to that point but it all
started from something an origin, a
perfect plan.

Miller's Experiment is flawed, it doesn't really prove anything. I don't think most people who believe in evolution actually realise that it is a framework in which people work in. It is not based in fact as many believe, it is a frame work which uses certain facts to prove it's realiability. Christianity is the same, it is a frame work which facts may be interpreted. The majority of my experience leads me to Jesus

There are also a fair few scientists who steer well away from the Big Bang Theory because they see it as flawed, they just don't look that far back. Yet they choose not to believe in God.

Agnostic - belief that something could exist, but choosing not to look at it. Just ignore it.

There is nothing to say that God used a big bang like event(s) to spread matter.

Out of nothing?

No.

The matter that made these "amino acids" already existed.

It is good the people learn how to make and apply science. God does not, at least to my knowledge, have anything against that.

People who are religious generally are not concerned with logic or science when the origin of the Universe is discussed. They will always cite scripture and will probably be uninterested in listening to persuasive evidence for the Big Bang and, particularly, evolution. God, in the minds of many theists, is the irrefutable answer to everything, and his methods of creativity are, to their thinking, adequately explained in Genesis. If that were not so, why then would they have spent something like $67,000,000 to produce the Creation Museum to "disprove" science? You are wasting your time if you think that you can convince the faithful of the illogic of their theology. We who are skeptics and nonbelievers are in the minority in the United States.

I have always wondered - if God created the universe (and the very concept of existence), then who created God?

I realize that the standard answer is that "God has always been there" - but then the Universe itself has been there for just about that long (4.6 Billion Years or so is pretty much FOREVER - I think that only Dick Clark and Keith Richards can remember back that far).

God must have been really bored for the first 94746463463463484950783639037374 Billion years ;););)

Because if it came from nothing, how could it come from evolution and the big band. To have any one of these you have to start from something and God started from nothing. And if you want to see the nothing, close your eyes and have everything in the universal disappear, and I mean everything. That is your nothing. Now create something from that.

In order for man to create anything he has to start with something- see how they created essential amino acids from effectively nothing; but not from nothing

You said it yourself. We have God to create something out of nothing. You have nothing to create something out of itself. Since God created the Law of Conservation of Mass, he doesn't have to obey it. He can make whatever he wants, however he wants.

However, Evolution must obey the Law of Conservation of Mass, which means that it is impossible for something to be created out of nothing.

Miller Urey did make amino acids (he cheated, but that's another story), but he didn't make them out of nothing. He made them out of various chemicals. He wasn't trying to prove that something could be made out of nothing, he was trying to prove that spontaneous generation is possible.

When God created everything, He was here (something). He spoke everything into existence except man. Man was formed by God. Amino acids can not appear from nothing. http://www.answersingenesis.org

the difference is that christians want to believe the stories of genesis. They want to believe that God just poked and prodded and things appeared. They do not fathom something happening over time.
