Brigham Young Quote-- And I would say, as no man can be perfect without the woman, so no woman can be perfect without a man to lead her, I tell you the truth as it is in the bosom of eternity; and I say so to every man upon the face of the earth; if he wishes to be saved he cannot be saved without a woman by his side. So with my last question in mind, I want you all to know that God loves you, always has your best interest in mind, and wants you to succeed. Even though you didn't ask for it, God made the ultimate sacrifice for you so that you can have the opportunity to live in paradise. Pretty cool! Take advantage of it. Have a great day.

do you think you will go to heaven. Is being a Christian more than saying a prayer one time in a church?

Atheists are clear in their conviction, and take a firm stand on their position.

Agnostics are accepting possibilities and maintaining an open mind.

I'm not ask which one you think makes more sense, but which you respect more.

From absolute reality derives the universe, causeless and unthinkable, to which all beings are enchained to it. The mind can contemplate its origin through ontological truths, the derived facts of thought until it reaches the causeless cause of absolute reality, The Self. This brings the mind to an infinite threshhold which allows it to escape the causation of corporeal reality and achieve immortality.

May I ask what follows after, assuming, you have succeeded transcending your personal karma? Will there be any reasons left to return to the physical life?

I find it quite interesting that over 75% of the people in this section are non-believers. If you look at my last question, about 75% had something negative to say or believed God has done nothing for them today. Very interesting. Looks like a good place to witness and plant a seed. What say you to that?

Why do you keep posting here, knowing we (Christians), are here for the purpose of answering religious questions? Don't you know that's just asking for it?

right? But wasn't man already immortal before he ate from the Tree of knowledge? Wasn't death supposed to be the punishment for eating?

Genesis 17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Now, as I've asked before I know many christians interpret this as meaning man wouldn't die instantly, but eventually, implying he was immortal beforehand.

One way or another, god lied. Either man was already immortal before he ate the fruit, or god lied about him dying from eating it.

So which is it?

Galatians 3:28 for there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave or free, male or female in Christ we are one.

If he does not see us as male or female how can he see us as gay or straight?

So what in the world makes you believe that you can accept the bible as the word of god because it says so in the bible? The Quran says it is the true word of god also, as do many other holy books. Don't you think a little investigation is necessary? If we go simply by what each book says, then we have multiple contradicting words of god. What makes you think YOURS is the right one.

Please don't bother with the bible verses, I know the bible better than you do, that's why I don't believe in it. In addition, you can't prove a criminals innocence simply by believing them when they say they didn't kill your (insert loved one here). I'm sure you would want someone to investigate, now wouldn't you?

I am a young Christian growing up in a society where hip-hop and rock dominates the other genres in music (well, for the young onez).
I listen mostly to gospel and christian hip-hop artists
(Fred Hammond, Lisa Mcclendon, Lecrae, Trip Lee, Kierra Sheard - to name a few)
and a lot of my friends don't say much about it but they do think it's a lil' weird that I don't listen to Beyonce or Jay-Z or who's that newer guy... T-Pain? Since I'm black, people expect me to know that type of music and I don't!
I was just simply wondering if there's anybody else out there like me (besides my close church friends...)?

Doesn't the below scripture indicate that people are born gay.

10The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry."

11Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage[a]because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."
