First, do you have a calling to become a priest?
If so then talk to a friendly priest. In the meanwhile, study theology, sociology, and biblical history
After graduation from high school, you could enter a seminary where you will continue your education, which would lead to the sacrament of priesthood. It is not easy, and it will take years...essentially undergraduate school, and then graduate school before you will wear a collar.
Pray about this and determine if you really have the calling to be a priest. Further, there are many orders of the priesthood...so you may want to research what your calling is. The Jesuits are big on education. Different orders have different emphasis. Find your emphasis.
There is no hurry. Become priest-like in your heart; pray, and talk to other priests.

To be a priest who will be a shepard of people and the responsibilties are much. to leading a group of people should understand what the religious is and how to convince people to follow you. You must do thing right and you do not know what is right. Everythings in the world are face 2 sides. the different point of view will cause different opinion. The organisation will accept you to take a clause of god then practise in a church for more than 3 years and there is a chance to a new church established in a new zone to let you go their.
Consider 3 times before you made this dicission.

I would suggest you talk to the priest of your Church. He should be able to lead you and tell you where to go from there. We have a young adult in our parish who is interested in becoming a franciscan priest and is going to talk to Fr. Vincent who was at our Church and is now up at Archbishop Curley High School and helps to recruit people. The priest will also help you to discern which order you want to join whether it be Franciscan, Dominican, etc.

Huray, we need GOOD Priests! ! !
First Deacon, then Priest. You'll need "Holy Orders". "1578 No one has a right to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders. Indeed no one claims this office for himself; he is called to it by God. Anyone who thinks he recognizes the signs of God's call to the ordained ministry must humbly submit his desire to the authority of the Church, who has the responsibility and right to call someone to receive orders. Like every grace this sacrament can be received only as an unmerited gift."
Ah, you might want to check out the television show, "God or the Girl" ... I thought it was great insight to what they went through to accepting the Holy Order.

You need to be Catholic, or convert. And you need to go to seminary. I think it's four years. By that time you'll know if that's what you should be doing. Then you'll be ordained and assigned to a parish as sort of the number two priest in charge.

I think they have seminary schools, depending on which "type" of priest (Dominican, Fransiscan, Redemptorist, etc). If it's really something you're seriously considering, no doubt any Catholic priest can give you some suggestions on where to start.

Ask a priest. Priests will tell you everything. Or make an appointment to see someone at your archdiocese.

Do nothing yet. Live life. Explore your world. Seek knowledge and become wise. If after you're a mature, worldly person you STILL want to become a priest, you will know how. The church has NO USE for the ignorant, naive, or unlearned.

Talk to a priest in your local parish. They'll be able to discuss the seminary with you and answer your questions.
