They don't believe in the New Testament or that Jesus was the messiah just that he was a good prophet.

Christianity began as a sect within Judaism. But as Christianity spread to the Gentile world, Christian communities had to decide whether or not to continue observing Jewish law. Paul argued that because of Jesus Christ, all people were set free from the law, and reconciled with God, therefore it wasn't neccessary for new converts to be circumcised, or observe other Jewish laws. Eventually Jews and Christians went their separate ways. Jews do not believe Jesus was the Messiah, or the Son of God.

Jews look at Jesus as a historical figure who was not "of God" or "the Savior". Christians believe that Jesus was sent as God on Earth to teach us God's word and that if you follow Him you can be saved and granted eternal life.

When the Messiah comes, Jews think it will be for the 1st time, Christians think it will be the 2nd time.

judaism does not accept the divinity of christ and does not follow the new testament. There are also a strict set of jewish laws that are followed in judaism that are not considered in christ-based religions.
