May I ask what follows after, assuming, you have succeeded transcending your personal karma? Will there be any reasons left to return to the physical life?

Eric_Putkonen,

Just like Jesus? Except that He didn't actually had a choice. He was destined to become one.

Vinslave,

Your answer, as usual, was deep in meaningful.

Once you have transcended your own personal karma, you may return to the physical life to bring others to liberation and enlightenment. Without your karmic burden, you may choose to take on the karma of others.

I cannot imagine transcending my personal karma, but I believe we have our lives in order to experience all experience so that our spirits evolve and we come ever closer to god. Maybe that once we have had all experience, we have transcended our karma and there is no need to return. I can't claim to know for sure. But while I am here on this earth in this body I beleive my experience and my karma are the reasons I am here.

I know karma... What goes around, comes around. Actually came from the Bible's "You reap what you sow". All beliefs arise from a hunger to fill a whole in your soul that only Jesus can fit into.

I believe that our only reason for being here anyway is to learn and experience what life is. So until you've finished that you have reason. I think that you don't have to continue in a physical life if you make the choice.

If you decide to help others attain enlightenment you can come back as a Bodhisattva.

Attaining enlightenment isn't easily explained. Perhaps study on your own will give you an idea about it that won't be easily twisted out of shape.
