John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire

John 1:33
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

Moises - so glad you brought up Malachi chap 3! Because it says a messenger (angel) will pave the way for a messenger (angel) of the covenant.

This would mean that if Jesus is an Angel, than John the Baptist is also an Angel.... is we know this is not so because as I showed above, John did not know him ... and (John 1:15)
John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.'"

NWT Isaiah 40:3-5

Listen! ****Someone is calling out in the wilderness*****: “Clear up the way of Jehovah, YOU people! MAKE the highway for our God through the desert plain straight. Let every valley be raised up, and every mountain and hill be made low. And the knobby ground must become level land, and the rugged ground a valley plain. And the glory of Jehovah will certainly be revealed, and all flesh must see [it] together, for the very mouth of Jehovah has spoken [it].”

our Lord, but jehovah's i believe have there own Bible they made. because if you look at john 1:1 most Bibles say

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

it says the Word was God. there Bible however says the Word was a god. however there old test says there is only one God. so they contradict each other.

Read the scriptures. They all speak of John the Baptist.

John preached baptism for forgiveness of sins. John brought the Jews attention to that they had broken the covenant they had made in the past with God.

The water baptism symbolized their repentance. Then they were in line to recognize the Messiah.

John was not a Baptist, he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses since all of Israel were Jehovah's Witnesses and he believed that Jesus was the son of God.

And it is for whom he prepared the way.

Isaiah said:

Listen! Someone is calling out in the wilderness: “Clear up the way of Jehovah, YOU people! MAKE the highway for our God through the desert plain straight. 4 Let every valley be raised up, and every mountain and hill be made low. And the knobby ground must become level land, and the rugged ground a valley plain. 5 And the glory of Jehovah will certainly be revealed, and all flesh must see [it] together, for the very mouth of Jehovah has spoken [it].”

It is obvious that Jehovah can not walk on a desert plain or on a highway, so it must be figurative. Since no man can see God, and Jehovah can not occupy a human body and people saw Jesus and his walking, it must be figurative.

"Clear up the way of Jehovah". Who is the way of Jehovah? IT is Jesus. Jesus is the way that Jehovah uses to redeem mankind.

Think about it: In John 1:23 John the Batizer is quoted as saying::"He said: “I am a voice of someone crying out in the wilderness, ‘MAKE the way of Jehovah straight,’ just as Isaiah the prophet said.”"

John did not believe that the person who would be approaching him, his relative was Jehovah God. He knew that he was fulfilling Jehovah means of redemption, but not Jehovah himself.
