i was born and raised in a christan family. my dad was a deacon at the church and my mom volunteered when she could. i was just there. going to church was a chore to me. when i turned around 12 my mom bothered me non-stop about getting baptized. i gave in at 14 and got baptized, but for the wrong reasons.

im 17 and this year ive had a total make-over of my faith, i have a faith of my own now. my friends have helped me out alot including some teachers. but i always come back to one question, my baptism. was it real? if i died tonight where would i go? i did it for the wrong reasons, to get my mom off my back. i was pressured into at the time.

my family is against re-baptizing people. is there anywhere in scripture that it says its wrong? i want to do this, i want to do it for me, not for my mom, for me. i feel like something is missing in my life, and this is the missing puzzle piece. getting re-baptized for the right reasons. but why would my parents see anything wrong with it?

Liberal Christians drive me crazier than fundies. Why?
1-They think homosexuality is not a sin, while the Bible clearly states that it is. Some of them even lead a gay life and call themselves Christians.
2-They say that Evolution does not contradict Christianity. While the Bible tells you about Creationism, and that Humans were made in the image of God.

They really drive me crazy, especially when I criticize Christianity basing on the Bible, and they come up with interpreations of their own.
I mean ... on can interpret anything as he likes. Why don't you just keep your nose out when CHRISTIANITY Is concerned.

Here he is not the evil, corrupt, devil-inspired follower of Jesus who betrayed his master; he is instead Jesus' closest intimate and friend, the one who understood Jesus better than anyone else, who turned Jesus over to the authorities because Jesus wanted him to do so. This gospel has a completely different understanding of God, the world, Christ, salvation, human existence—not to mention of Judas himself—than came to be embodied in the Christian creeds and canon.

If I wanted to escape the ratrae and just do something totally different and learn about a different way of life, one of the things I would like to do is living with Amish people for a while.

Would that be possible at all?

I decided to watch star wars 1-6 i watched all of them in the new versions it kind of made me think did Lucas get the idea of star wars from Christianity, because in star wars the force created and binds the universe, and surrounds and is in all things, kind of like the holy spirit their is a good side then a bad side, and the light side kind of reminded me of the holy spirit while the dark side reminded me of Satan. and in the movies people are sercumed to the dark side by temptation and anger and greed ands lust kind of like Sin. ana Yoda and all the light side jedi reminded me of christians, and Anakin reminded me of a person who is not a christian or athiest, and both forces are fighting over that person, im not a star wars geek but i do think star wars the new ones are good well made movies. i was asking do you think george lucas got the idea of star wars from christianity.

Christians always claim the following verses ,for example, Jesus is called God in the phrase, 'Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior,Christ Jesus' (Titus 2:13; compare John 1:1; Hebrews 1:8; Romans 9:5; 1 John 5:20,21)."
But, do they really present Jesus as God?

Or at least as little as possible.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

With reasoning logic.
With sound threory.

However

Without keep asking me to have FAITH, since I am non-believer means No Faith YET.
Without emotion ( mean will not get easily upset if I don't agree with you ).

Well, of course, I have a lot of logic questions, if you gone through my questions history.

If you are one of them , who want to educate , save ( I am not challenging to you ), please do email me or discuss openly.

to go thru the process of forgiveness for perhaps multi-levels of reasons?
Did your spirituality further the completion?
Or did you just do it on your own?

I have questioned myself and religion very deeply over the last few years of my life. I have found absurdities in the Christian religion, but yet the feeling of intense confusion accepting the unknown. I wonder if as humans we are meant to "worship" to ease our minds? Or are we supposed to embrace the confusion? I just don't know if I should keep on going living in this confusion which is very lonesome. I am a truthseeker and I guess it's true that without pain there is no gain.

Its a book. Please share with me any experiences you had.

My experience:
One of my friends in Highschool had the book. He showed it to us and we decided to make one of the patterns in the book and repeat the chant that went along with it. I only remember the chant had something to do with the subject "green". A short while later I had to go pick up my girlfriend from work. On this drive through town there were 15 stoplights, we hit every light green, on the way there and the way back. I wasn't one to believe in stuff like that, but it really made me wonder about this book, among other things. Thanks.
