Liberal Christians drive me crazier than fundies. Why?
1-They think homosexuality is not a sin, while the Bible clearly states that it is. Some of them even lead a gay life and call themselves Christians.
2-They say that Evolution does not contradict Christianity. While the Bible tells you about Creationism, and that Humans were made in the image of God.

They really drive me crazy, especially when I criticize Christianity basing on the Bible, and they come up with interpreations of their own.
I mean ... on can interpret anything as he likes. Why don't you just keep your nose out when CHRISTIANITY Is concerned.

Oh boy.
1) So theres this part where it says "Love God, Love your Neighbor" Thats it. People who follow Paul often deride people who are homosexuals. People who follow Christ often love their neighbor.

2) Believe what you want. I think that mythological writing is beautiful in that it conveys ideas for which we do not have words.

As for your wrap up "...keep your nose out...." - - - Priceless. Enlightenment ain't what it used to be.

The bible was put together by a group of men in order to more organize the religion of Christianity. Some books were put in, others left out. It's up to each person to read the bible and determine for themselves if it's right for them or not. You have to remember what is written in the bible is an interpretation of the writer, and each book has a different writer. Just look at the differences of Matthew, Mark and Luke and they cover the same events, but have different spins on them.

And for the record, if homosexuality is a sin, then why did god make animals that have homosexual instincts? And on evolution...why couldn't god have started evolution, therefore creationism and evolution are both correct theories?

Point well taken...the Bible has been interpreted by so many people and Christians even argue amongst themselves on the teachings found in the Bible...In my own spiritual journey I listen to teachers that I feel comfortable with and read the Bible and hope that God directs me in what way I should interpret it...I also try and read the differing view points and try to form an opinion on which one I feel is the truth

Did Jesus educate that there could be a resurrection? Yes. He mentions it oftentimes. John five:28, 29; John 6:forty; John 6:forty four. The apostle Paul taught this as good at Acts 24:15. He used to be even being judged through the Sadducees over his wish of the resurrection. Acts 23:6-eight. Even folks in hell get resurrected. Revelation 20:thirteen. So the doctrine of the resurrection is firmly headquartered in scripture, sure? Now if we 'journey to heaven or to hell' once we die, what want is there of a resurrection? Resurrection is, evidently, for useless folks, proper? So if anything survives loss of life and is going to heaven, resurrection makes no sense, is it now not? Since resurrection is what overcomes loss of life, then once we are useless, we're mindful of without doubt not anything, simply as Ecclesiastes says, proper? So there is not any contradiction, is there? Hannah J Paul

You have to understand that in this world we live there is a fight, good vs. evil. God gave us the bible so that we would understand His laws, ways, and statues. However, there is a demonic element which operates in the earth to keeps people from knowing the truth. This demonic element fights against the truth, because they know that if the gospel of Jesus Christ spreads, they will lose their power, home, and authority in the earth. So, these demons work through peoples own personal struggles to twist and pervert the gospel so that it will lose it's power. If the truth of the gospel is twisted just a little it can become powerless. However, God gives you the straight truth on a personal and individual level if you want it. From that point it's up to you to decide to believe it or let demons twist what you have learned.

one, why do you care if homosexuality is a sin if it is not something that you engage in? two, i am a "gay" Christian and who are you to tell me that I'm not? doesn't the Bible say do not judge less ye be judged. you are not the one to judge being my point. what i don't understand is why people like you want to know why people "interpret" the Bible as they like when that is exactly what you are doing. you don't like the was i interpret the Bible therefore my interpretation is wrong and yours is right. you must look inside yourself and read the word of God and the Holy Spirit will help you know what is right for you. you will never know what is right between myself and God. please don't judge me or anyone else for the judgment on you will be much more severe. signed your Christian sister

all religions interpret their holy books to present a justification for their existence. noine could exist if everyone agreed that religion is the WORST form of intolerance ever put on mankind. there is no reason whatsoever to believe anything which cannot be proven. making wild claims, based on belief, not knowledge, is pure stupidity and will do nothing for the advancement of human developement.
each and every religion claims to be the "true" religion. they are not. they are just another form of tyranny. when man learns how to remove the shackles of his own ignorance, he'll finally have some idea of what reality truly is, not some religious fanatic's opinion of what is true.

Why does everyone interpret the Bible as he likes?

Well, because they can read (let's hope they can) and think (ibid.)

Give a set of multiplication tables (from 1 to 100) to fifty 4th graders - you will not get all the same answers. Nor if you give it to 50 high school seniors. And that's arithmetic, not the Bible.

I thiknk what bothers you is that we all don't come up with the same answer that you have.

That's Ok - i can live with it. Can you? If not, ask God for some help in accepting this. Pray for all of us to know Him clearer.

We are all human. Some believe every word in the old testament when it is history, with many references of future things, such as Christ. Most realize that the New Testament are the teaching we should follow.
Because we are all human, most tend to shade the teachings to say what we want them to say. Hopefully, we will all admit that we have done this and change accordingly.
Those who can and will believe, will. Those who refuse or cannot grasp it, will not. Simple as that.

It can be confusing, Enlightened, but...

The Bible warns us in advance:

"For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. "Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them."

Most people have an agenda when they read the Bible. They may read it while "wearing grandpa's glasses." And only see what they have been taught.

Or pridefully want to expound some new ideas, and twist the scriptures to their "own destruction."

Or may trust in a charismatic leader who they trust as their Master, rather than the Lord to teach them.

Or, they may honestly read the Bible for truth, but fail to study parallellng history so it can be studied in context rather than applying to our latter day, only.

For this very reason, God hid a message to be opened at the "end of the days." Read it at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

Blessings, One-Way
