There were witnesses to this. That Saddam gassed Israel at the end of the Gulf war. That also Saddam gassed His own people by the 1000s, & many of those people were Christian.

He obviously had the capability to do so since he did it.

Big bang Theory
Theory of evolution

Then why is faith attacked? We all feel love, we all know it exists yet Science has not even trapped love in a test tube. I have complete faith that love exists and the bible even says "God is love".

A young man who grew up in Tarsus, the center of Mithraism, a Roman citizen and a Jew.

He had never been to Judea during his youth, but by the time he was a young man his youthful zeal led him to Judea where he gladly joined in the religious persecution of minority sects that Judaism had always required in the Old Testament.

Eventually his fascination with Fundamentalism began to wane when it didn't provide him with the answers he had sought and his exposure to Mithraic beliefs began to reassert itself.

He hijacked a local religious movement that he had persecuted in Judea and began to preach a hybrid religion based on their beliefs and Mithraic initiations, which placed him in the unique position of dictating the beliefs of a new religion.

Eventually, after his death and the following deaths of the original Jewish Christian church, his Greek converts from Paganism turned his Jesus into a Mediterranean Demigod, like so many other characters worshiped in the region.

And bonus question: Why did certain people get a thumbs down on my last question that I asked? Aren't we all human beings despite what religious or non religious label we claim or don't claim?

At first the guy seemed ok. Then a few weeks ago he mentioned that he and his wife homeschool their two children. I thought "oookaaaayyyy, that's a HUGE red warning light right there" and then about a week ago I asked him why they decided to homeschool. He said , and I kid you not; "because schools these days teach very dangerous things like sex education and evolution."
So the president and I had a little chat and the guy had his walking papers the next day.
For those of you wondering why, the company I work for (and sit on the board of directors) is involved in scientific research.
No way are we going to allow someone with that kind of attitude in here. And I checked on his application, where it said religion, he wrote "atheist". (usually if someone writes that they are a christian or a muslim, we just shred the application) So he lied as well to get in here.
So much for christian virtue and honesty huh?

Was the clitoris intelligently designed?

I believe I am correct in saying that the clitoris is the only body part - on either gender - in which its sole purpose is pleasure. Men do not have a comparable body part.

Does work and material things make us focus more on our survival consciousness instead of focusing on a higher consciousness? Can there be balance? Do the two mind sets convict with each other? Or does it just take self discipline to keep spiritualness full without being leaked by concentration on the material world.

Is this what I am being asked to believe: Christian belief came out of Judaism, the rules now have changed, no more law we are now in grace. God sent his son to die for all of us. Since then his established church has split over 20,000 times each saying the other is wrong. The vast majority disagree to what Jesus came to say or who he was, some say the son of God some say he was God. At best God's response to man is confusion beyond belief. We are told to just ask the Holy Spirit to show you truth...(I have)..ZERO BTW for 20 plus years. We are told that Jesus loves us more than we will ever know but if you make a mistake and pick the wrong road Mormon, Jw's, or 100's of others you will burn 24-7 for eternity. I have read the N.T numerous times (and prayed), I've attened numerous Churches (they want $$$) I'm not an idiot. At BEST this is a mine field of choices. I would LOVE it if one Christian would tell me for the first time EVER...YOUR right...this is very hard to understand.

These fundies must really be doing a number on their children. Twice in the last post it was said that scientific evidence supports a global flood. I've been in the field of biology for four years, and interested in the study of science for much longer, and can tell you with ease that no credible scientist would make such claims.

In fact, a global flood has been proven impossible.

It just frightens me to see that these parents feel it is alright to replace what we now know from strong evidence with religious dogma and think this is not at all damaging to a child's development....

Does human evolution take place on a collective or individual level? Should one strive to reach higher levels of being through self meditation, or should one just go to work and contribute to material collection and increased productivity? Which method is most effective?

Does having a career that symbolizes the drain of spirituality in modern day america appropriate for someone who wants to expand the mind and reach new levels of spititual ecstacy? Does having a job that contradicts your personal ideals for life make you a hypocrite? Or, is a job just a job? A way to contribute to society and nothing to do with your own personal aspirations?

Wouldn't that be like me making 2 sculptures out of clay; having one as a beautiful animal and the other as a rolled up, half-@ssed attempt at a snake, then judging the snake because it is not beautiful like the animal? If God knows the future and he knows in creating a person that they will turn out like Hitler did, or Napoleon, and still creates them, isn't it hypocritical for him to judge them based on what he created them to do? If free-will is not just an illusion, then God would not be able to know the future for certain, and if he did, then he is not a just God.

Please don't answer unless you have enough of a brain to understand what I am asking. I don't want to hear about so-and-so being the only way to glory and blah blah blah. Other than that please ge me insights.

I think it's addiction but I have witnessed full blown mental illness quite regualar living here in the bible belt. What's your opinion?

mine is simply that God willed evolution. and the seemingly random forces that spawen life were steered by god.
And if your'e thinking:well the bible dates the earth at 10000 years or so,WTF; how about this: Man wasn't around then so a "day" could bin fact 100000000 years. It could be metaphoric after all.

He took one for the team!
He chose to be hated so people may grow to hate all that is bad and infact became the very symbol of it so people may know the difference and love the good! How else can you explain good and bad when everything was created by god? He's shown as the fallen angel only to prove everything was created by god, otherwise christianity and islam would be dualists not monotheists! Infact he is the only true follower so people develop a conscience!
