I guess so... at least we have something left over after painful childbirth, past opression of rights, and PMS!!

CLITORIS: Is it of Intelligent Design,... Evolution, or something "else"?...:-))
Why do I only find questions like this in R/S?
I imagine one could pose an argument for Intelligent Design...
Then again, there would be Evolution's counterpoint that the clitoris evolved to further encourage females to mate more frequently, thereby increasing the likelihood of pregnancies and thus elevating the chances for the species to survive and thrive.
Another debate bites the dust...:-))

It is not suppose to be in this section but since many have given you serious answers, here's what I think it is. Being the main channel for pro-creation, it was placed there on women to at least have an enjoyment and pleasure before the nine months ordeal of delivering a new life. And even if the purpose of having sex is for pleasure only, I believe it must not only be the man who have the right to take pleasure on it.

I think it was intelligently designed. Women must have evolved that way looking for better lovers. After all, death and other dangers in childbearing are not incentive too look for a man.

Yes I do believe it was intelligently designed.
Think about this fact...would women really be that interested in sex without that little body part? What would men do if women suddenly stopped being interested in sex?
So, thank God for that little body part!! Because you probably would not be around today otherwise.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made and the clitoris has it's divine purpose for pleasure.

Well said.
And since christians believe that sex for the sole enjoyment of sex is evil, I have to say that like every other such organ (in other species I mean) must have come about by evolutionary mechanisms.
And I for one am VERY happy that it did.

I would say it wasn't designed very intelligently, or it wouldn't take so much work. lol

Yea, I think it was. If it didn't feel good, women wouldn't want to do it at all---ever.
Do you think it evolves as we age into something less sensitive and that is why women loose their sex drive?
