You can prove the existence of God the same way you prove the existence of wind. You can't see the wind, can you? So how do you know it's really there? Well, you can feel the wind blow on your face, you can see the trees blowing - all evidence that wind does exist. Same with God. I can't see him, but I can feel His power in my life, and I can see the evidence of God working in my life and in the lives of others.

It cannot be proven in the scientific sense, but God's existence can be inferred from the existence of the moral law. People from all cultures and all eras have had very similar moral codes. Included in this is a sense of altruism that goes beyond mere self-preservation, i.e. soldiers falling on hand grenades to save the lives of comrades. Why are we this way unless it was placed in our human code by a creator? The best explanation of this is found in C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity. Get a copy and read it. Lewis was a brilliant scholar who was an atheist until the age of 29 when he came to the logical conclusion that atheism was, in his words, "too simple". His argument for God's existence is profound. Please do yourself a favor and read it.

God is just an ideal, a state of mind, an aspiration. You can prove there is a god by reaching a god like state of being on earth.

It isn't for you to prove or not. That is a hard task you put to yourself. People have to find that proof on their own in their own experiences. Try to just focus on all that feels good and right to you and allow others the space to find their own way.

you can never prove it, there is no god....for instance what kind of god allows a woman to hang her kids, or lets a man nuke his baby in the microwave or kills thousands of innocent people in the tsunami or 9-11 attacks. gee what a kind, compassionate god. these innocents die yet the ones committing the crime live on most of the time or crazy methheads are allowed to roam around hurting innocent people.

The very idea of God is unproveable. If it were possible to prove it, someone would have done it ages ago and atheism would not exist.

I know a sure way to get your answer, get on your knees twice a day, and ask God to prove to you he is real, and mean it, you will have your answer in no time at all. Pray to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The Great I am.
