Just think.God created man in His image.Adam sinned but if He would of said forgive me my God.God would of .But He hid.and rejected God.God is perfectly Holy! Man continued being evil.So can you imagine how much love it took for God the Father to ask Jesus His only Son to come from glory and come down here to be crucified in every way possible.Carrying the burden of all mankinds sins.Never ever was there a greater showing of love.God had to watch His Son suffer the most Horrendous death ever known to mankind. And Jesus had to indure it.If this is not love than what is? And God the Father and Jesus did it because they do not want us to suffer like that because our sins. There is freedom in these words.God bless you all no matter how you believe what you say or do I still love you.

That we Atheist get on his nerve because Atheists support Homosexuals but don't support the church. Followed by Christians don't start wars. Wars are started by people who are intolerant of other peoples views. Now what kind of nonsense is that? It sounds just like all the nonsense Christians keep shouting doesent it?

I'm talking about a global goal to end suffering...no starvation, no sickness, nobody getting raped or beat up in prison...end of suffering. Is that a worthy goal, or does suffering actually have a place in the world?

"If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them." - Mohandas K. Gandhi

Is that how you forget and move on?

To you, what does he mean 'remove blemishes from others'.

This is an open and honest question for both sides. I am not by any means suggesting all tht are atheists are but Ican't help but finding the ones who seem to show the least attempt to be reasonable or respectful often are. Agree or disagree? I will add this admission not all believers show much respect either.

Proverbs 4:24
Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

Ephesians 4:29
29Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

-I know I at times felt convicted if I say something that is not glorifying God, but is rather glorifying the world-- there is so much corrupting talk these days, even I have laughed at a few things but conviction comes quickly when I know it is something I do not even need to open my ears to or open my mouth to say! I need to be in constant prayer over what I should say and what I should not.

James 1:22 says "Be doers of the word, and not merely hearers, who delude themselves"

God wants us who love Him with all our hearts to do what He says, not just know what He says--- but we should always walk in His ways. I pray to do this always--I never want to be someone who just goes around talking the talk--- I want to walk the walk! What about you?

(This is not for people who don't know what 'scourge' means)
Think about religious demagoguery leading to violence and war. How about imposition of religious beliefs leading to war and massacre? How about overpopulation leading to war and famine and disease? How about suppression of science ? How about disenfranchisement of women? Do you agree?

If it is legal and does not hurt a child or infringe upon a person's right?

Where do you draw the line in what should not be tolerated...

Are you concerned at all that if we open up a Pandoras Box on tolerance we might be faced with a law-suit like Germany has where a Brother and Sister who already have children want to be able to legally marry? or Sweeden who is also on the legality of a 3 way marraige

If my memory serves me correctly, under Sharia law, adultery is punishable by stoning, correct?

This plan is complex, but it just might work. First, we'll need about 2 million cars parked in dark alleys and 2 million woman willing to suffer for world peace:

Next, we need about 8 million people with strong pitching arms.......

Elliot wrote "I forget whose theory it is, but someone suggested that revenge is necessary because by demonstrating their mutual condemnation of a criminal, a society is brought closer together. There's probably something to that."

I understand that point of view. It is completely VOGUE to hate sex offenders right now. I hear people all the time "relating" to eachother how much they hate sex offenders. It was Communists, not too long ago. Thoughts?

Presumably they'd be white for a start, although I suppose God could be a multi-colour card.

What about if Jesus has "On the second turn after Jesus was put into the graveyard from play, return Jesus to play and place an invulnerability counter on him." No?

Suggestions please?

If there is no such chapter and verse, how can the Trinity be the central doctrine of Christianity, and essential for salvation?

Everything else necessary for salvation is clearly mentioned in the Bible. Where in the Bible is the word "Trinity"?

I do not mean "allusions", which are open to interpretation. I mean the word "Trinity" itself.

Acts 13:48 (King James Version)
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Romans 9:16-18,23 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory

Can non-Christians be loving and forgiveing too?

Jews?
Muslims?
Atheists?
Agnostics?
Astaur?
Wicca?

I just wanna understand because a lot of people are answering some of my questions today informing me that love and forgiveness are Christian principles,

I just wanted to verify I'm not a crazy person thinking Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on love and forgiveness.
