No I do not think the Bible is infallible, In fact, the Bible has been corrected and rewrote many times which is evidence that strongly supports that it is extremely fallible.
Is there a religion for you? If you mean should you join a group identified by a name tag, only you can answer that.
You said you believe there was a man named Jesus and a creator. Maybe that is a good starting point for you. One thing the Bible reveals is and it so happens to be the words of Jesus, "seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you" if its the truth you want then leaning on this one promise from Jesus will bring you closer to the Creator or prove it to be a false teaching.
Go for it!

If I were an English teacher grading the Bible, I would give it a D. Anyone who thinks it is the infallible word of God needs to get their head checked. It is easy to see, for anyone who isn't completely brainwashed at least, that the Bible was written by men in a time where many of the things that we would cringe at today were completely acceptable.
What astounds me most is that people, even with all we know now about the evolution of religion and the God archetype from pantheistic and polytheistic to monotheistic, are still subscribing to these organized religoins.

I think neither.
The men or women who wrote parts of the Bible were more than likely inspired by God. Those who compiled it may have believed they were directed by God.
The danger in believing the Bible is the inerrant Word of God is that people begin to worship the Bible and never really get around to knowing God. Also in order to do so you have to dismiss a perponderance of evidence that tells us things were left out of the Bible and this historical evidence of who controlled the Bible after it was compiled.
To believe it is the God inspired works of man and that it reflects the societal needs of the time (Old Testament and Apostle parts).

I believe as II Timothy 3:16 says, that all scripture is given by inspiration of God...
However, while inspired by God...I believe it was written by humans who brought into their writings, their own ideas, prejudices, knowledge, education and customs of the day.
I do not think we can take the Bible literally in all contexts...I believe it is more of a history book or guide book. Many of the stories in the Bible were handed down verbally for many years before finally being put on paper....I think we do everyone a disservice, when we believe that all of the writers were somehow God....some people look at the Bible in a way that is almost idolatry....they worship the Bible...more than God...and I think that is wrong as it is a book written by humans.

Well, what you already DO believe is correct. There is a Creator, God, and Jesus (actually really named Joshua) was, and still is, real.
But there is definitely a Bible, and it is the Word of God.
God instructed certain people in the past to write certain things. The things they wrote did not just automatically pop into their heads. God helped them.
And the Bible IS NOT fables.

History is in the hands of the victor, and literacy centuries ago was rare. Writers were under no obligation to present hard evidence of research, but wrote down stories from the oral tradition. They may have been accurate in their writings, or added/subtracted from it's content. The point is they are STORIES - They may provide some insightful reflections on nature and existence, but the 'pen of god' is nonexistent.
That doesn't mean you can't assign a certain level of sacredness to the bible, just like I can assign mystical qualities to my lucky rabbit's foot or favorite sweatshirt.

I too believe the Bible can be a great tool, but that it was written by man which makes it fallible. Yes there are hundreds of religions out there, but again they were created by man. I would seek a form of spirituality that lets you be in control of your destination, not someone telling you how you are suppose to be. May I suggest you read Conversations With God by Neal Donald Walsch. That's my Bible. Good luck to you and yours!

Is there a religion for you that isn't based on the Bible? Please, there are hundreds of them. Go research. There are over 4 billion people in this world who follow a religion that isn't Christianity.
Personally, I don't believe that the Bible is divine nor something written up with some clear intention. It's a collection of stories written by hundreds of authors over thousands of years, translated dozens of times, with pieces left out and added as councils saw fit, and stapled together in its current form by some time in the 17th century.

I've always felt the Bible to be exaggerated legends. Considering it was never written when things supposedly occurred, I would have to believe stories have been significantly changed to make them more exciting to the listeners over the years...then it was also changed by the bias of those who actually wrote them as well as the editors involved.
