Please tell me which branches of Christianity are not True Christians and will be Damned. And which branch will be the only one to be Saved from Eternal Torment.

At some stage, will fundamentalists of all faiths find themselves so surrounded and bombarded by reason that they will be forced to leave their dogmas behind?

What have you shared? What were their impressions? Did anyone find it hard to believe?

Seriously, why? It isn't like you're going to convert them "to your side" by mocking them. Plus, doing that isn't very Christian anyway, is it? What happened to loving your neighbor as yourself, and loving your enemy? Are you so insecure in your own beliefs that you're afraid just reading what they say will take away your religion? Wouldn't it be best to demonstrate your faith by setting an example of tolerance? I'm Christian, and some behavior here (not by overt trolls- behavior from those who seem to really believe what they're saying) disturbs me.

Please give me some insight as to why you're scared. Thanks!

The information revolution is just starting to change the world.

But the pace of change is about to pick up far more.

Advances in medicine and telecommunications are already increasing not just lifespans, but the quality of life in old age, as well as helping to bring the global community even closer together.

This very site is a great example of how we're moving toward being a global community.

Our observation of the stars are just beginning to reveal other planets capable of supporting life.

Religious dogmas will become far harder to sustain.

Ideas are being exchanged more than ever before.

New discoveries are common knowledge globally upon release to the public.

While there are many wars and conflicts, never before have people been so aware of others from different parts of the planet.

Can religions keep up with the pace of change and remain relavent to the faithful?

Can religious dogma survive this surge in human advancement?

I mean relgions promote christinity. So why not gay groups? teachingh kids gays are nice fun and friendly...

Which in reality most are.

Its not going to turn a kid gay... plus er kids aint into sex stuff that ewwu coodies swapping icky stuff grown ups/older siblings want to do like kissing gay or stright.

And as they tern teenagers its biology that would decise who they fancy...

it sodnt matter how much you promote being gay or stright.

You fancy who you fancy.

But is it the church fears if the truth that gay people are ok and nice and fun and friendly

Kids will realise the church and realgious moral types are all liers...

....since he could just "strike" people down, is there any passage in the Bible in which Jesus did strike someone down, or indicated that he thought it was his place to do so?

In other words, you seem to be saying "Jesus wouldn't own a gun, but he would still defend himself". My question is, Would Jesus defend himself? Would Jesus use a gun if he had one, or strike anyone down who threatened him? If Jesus wouldn't, then why do some Christians want / need a gun in order to defend themselves? Aren't you called to imitate Christ's example and turn the other cheek?

I'm just wondering.

In defining the trinity, the Catholic Athanasian Creed says: "And in this Trinity none is afore or after Other, None is greater or less than Another, but the whole Three Persons are Co-eternal together, and Co-equal." If the Athanasian Creed is Bible-based, what scriptures will support its concept of God?

I find it entertaining that Monotheism has gone from fighting enemies like Baelzebub, infidels and heretics to their new enemies of the faith, sexually ambiguous cartoon characters.

I think it shows how ridiculous their religion really is.

Who will win this battle of the Titans?

Comments? Thoughts?

A friend of mine who is a Billy Graham's freak is canceling his engagement (and wedding plan) with her fiancee only b/c his fiancee admitted that she was no longer virgin & had an abortion.

I said to him, "Ted, have you lost your mind? She loves you. She hasn't stop crying after you said that. If she doesn't love you she won't be honest to you about that."

He thought that if she ever had sex before, then there's a chance she will cheat in the future. But he still tolerates that. The next thing is he considers those who commited abortions as killers the same as manson family or a Korean boy who shot people at VT.

What should I tell him? My friend is 27 years old, tidy & georgeous, 6-packs, but still a virgin - never ever had sex before - I thought he was a gay. His (ex-)girl friend is 24 years old

Both serve at the same baptist church which members are freaking 5h1t about hocus-locus-focus on family & condemn Disney's Gay Day. He's been dating her for about 3 years.

Just thought I'd start another argument, I'm a marxist all religion should be banned, as its corrupt and full of biggots.
Everyone should work for the common good.
Not follow fake icons.
Religion causes wars, protects perverts(another dig) provides a basis for discrimination and is based on fairy stories.

I understand agnostics and athiests right to believe what they want, but I don't get why there is so much of a movement against religion, particularly Christianity. Yes, I could understand if there had been an "inquisition" within anyones lifetime but there hasn't been. God and the belief in God is a RIGHT in this country just like not believing in God is a RIGHT. The soviets TRIED to ban religion and failed miserably.... doesn't anyone learn from history?
