Lord of the Rings...

By incorporating the Bible in your list you are being disrespectful.

There are actually some portions of the Bible that have historical foundation, some proof in history to back them up... and as such the Bible falls in to a catagory that is not wholly Fiction nor wholly non fiction... as ALL religions do!

WE all know that Harry Potter, and Lord of the rings are works of fiction... although both have things within them that may be or even are real, they are works of fiction.

If your question had left the Bible out... it would have been a fun question. And I would say ... Harry Potter!

But if I could choose outside of your little list, I would have to say Anne Rices Vampire Chronicals or any of Maggie Shaynes works! And I love Christen Feehen's fictional works!

Harry Potter sucks, I can't believe I've actually read all 6 books. I must be a glutton for punishment.

The LOTR books are fantastic, I've read then several times. The Two Towers would be my favorite, with best chapters being "Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit," "The Taming of Smeagol, " and "The Stairs of Cirith Ungol." The Retiurn of the King comes next, with The Scouring of the Shire as my favorite part. How I wish they would have had that in the movie.

The Bible is fine for when I'm in the mood for a little horror. It's every bit as intriguing as Lovecraft under the right circumstances.

I'll go with Harry Potter. Lord of the Rings never did much for me and the Bible is too full of plot holes and self-contradictions to be a compelling read. Plus there's there's the dry, archaic language.

I prefer Lord of the Rings. Never got into Harry Potter because I thought I was too old when it came out. The Bible is just too far-fetched.

Huge fan of Harry Potter! It's a lot easier read than the Bible.

For its value as literature, Lord of the Rings.

For great fun and a more contemporary point of view, Harry Potter.

For its long-standing significance to the history of English-speaking people, the King James Bible.

Lord of the Rings. Frodo makes a better Christ figure than Jesus himself.

I liked "Lord of the Rings."

I am too old for Harry Potter.

The Bible is not fiction.
