Can non-Christians be loving and forgiveing too?

Jews?
Muslims?
Atheists?
Agnostics?
Astaur?
Wicca?

I just wanna understand because a lot of people are answering some of my questions today informing me that love and forgiveness are Christian principles,

I just wanted to verify I'm not a crazy person thinking Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on love and forgiveness.

Jesus may have been the first person in history, to actually be able to forgive, and forget. Not very many people have that talent. I believe forgiveness is something needed like food, on a dayly baisis because it doesn't seem to last long. Something always pricks our memory, and the anticipation of pain returns. I ask for the ability to forgive others, usually when I eat. I believe the skill is passed on from person to person, sometimes through books, and drama, but ultimately it can be traced back to the first person with the skill. I understand Jesus to be that first person. It got him in a lot of trouble, going around forgiving people.

Christians like Muslims have the least amount of love. Their self hate doctrines should give you an example of that. It's all an individual basis anyway. No matter the religion you belong to you can be a hateful person or a loving person. I personally have never met a hateful Buddhist but have encountered them from every other group.

They may be Christian principles, but they are not EXCLUSIVELY Christian! Anyone can do it if they try.

I'm a witch, and I'm loving and compassionate.

As to forgiveness, I believe it is wrong to forgive someone who does not ask for it, who does not repent and accept responsibility for their wrongs. The Dali Lama said the same thing in his speech on compassion at Santa Cruz when I saw him there. It is not fair to those who repent and are truly sorry to spread forgiveness around cheaply. And it is certainly not fair to the victims of the crimes or their families.

I dont know.

U can only forgive and love someone truly when u are first forgiven and loved by someone truly.and that someone is JESUS.JESUS forgives us of all our sins.

2 Corinthians 5:21[kjv]For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

JESUS loves us and is our friend.

John 15
13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

[verses taken from kjv]

John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with the blood JESUS shed on the cross.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

Of course atheist can be loving. But what stops them from committing adultary, fornication, homosexuality? The bible is all against that, but to an atheists there is no law.

Also, a chrisitian always has a guide to follow. But been christian is an everyday struggle. Just because you are a christian does not exclude you from the problem God has. It is an ongoing struggle because we live in a perverted world full of evil and indulgence of pleasure. Atheists can easily fall prey to these evils because they have no law.

Love and forgiving are personal character traits . Even though religions encourage those traits, they were not originated by religion, and are not part of religion.
Those who have no religious beliefs at all, are every bit as moral as those who make a big show of their religion.

They ARE Christian Principals, but we did not invent them and we have no Monopoly on them.

Sure, there are Great people that are not Christian.

I will say however that becoming a Christian has made me a better person.

Peace!

All faiths, true faiths...as opposed to militant extremist types...preach be good to one another.

So are love and forgiveness Christian principles...absolutely. Are they exclusively Christian...absolutely not, although some would claim that they are, and they are the ones that I am wary of.

Just be human, you don't need a religion. Human loves and shares with all human beings. There won't be fight of religion, space or country. Religion is just a guide. Humans understand religion rather to see the others as a fellow human. No war but peace to all.
