Wars are started by people who are intolerant of other peoples views. Now what kind of nonsense is that? It sounds just like all the nonsense Christians keep shouting doesent it?

Hey listen, when a man having sex with a man or woman with a woman can produce a natural child, I'll support homosexuality 100% Until then I can't accept the behaviour. I wish the radicals in the gay movement would stop ramming their sexual preferences down society's throat.

Keep in mind that I do not, as a Christian, condemn the person.

I would say true Christianity is about love and not violence.

But that doesn't stop people from using Christianity to justify their own actions. Obviously history is littered with references. But I can say that a war has been started in the name of probably 90% of the world's religions.

His point was, that atheists claim to be tolerant of everyone and every belief except Christians. I don't believe this but I do believe that was the point he was trying to make.

Atheists don't get on God's nerves He is to busy reaching out to the ones who have a willing heart! Homosexuality is a sin and it is plain in the Bible! Christianity doesn't start wars but we will have to fight because people will always hate God, and be fighting against the beliefs of christians! BTW, we do not shout out nonsense just the truth!

That's laughable. He contradicts himself.
I, personally, proudly support homosexuals--not BECAUSE they're homosexuals, but because they're my fellow human beings.
No, I don't support the church. Why would I support an institution that teaches and encourages ignorance, intolerance, and hatred?
Christians don't start wars? There isn't enough room on this forum to go over the wars and battles waged in the name of Christianity.
"Wars are started by people who are intolerant of other peoples views." Well...there you go. Who are more intolerant of other people's views than fundamentalist Christians?

The Accused While they were labeled Thrash Metal, they were so much more than that. I don't think even Crossover could define them. Their sound was huge yet simple. Their song structures were simple yet complex. And those vocals don't get any better. MA: The Return of Martha Splatterhead. They have better tracks, but this one just says fk you all the way through it

Well, he's telling you what he considers to be valuable and what he does not. He may be right that some wars are about intolerance, but some are also about greed and control trips. And as to the concept that Christians don't start wars, he is probably doing one of those "but that was not a real Christian" cop-outs so beloved by his kind.

Ignore him; he's very confused.

I work with a man that grew up in a Christian home for 18 years but did not agree with the religion. When he left home he left Christianity behind. He is now a Wiccan. He knows that I am a Christian. I bring my Bible and study books to work and he says nothing about it. Moral of my story is this...just shut up about it. If you want to be an athiest than be an athiest. Christians don't respect athiest because most of them are like you and just can't "let it go". If you choose a different belief besides Christian just because you want to protest against Christianity than your belief is not genuine. My Wiccan friend is genuine in his belief and does not care to even talk about Christianity bad or good. When the topic of Christianity comes up he avoids it. When I am around him I do the same. Sure I pray that he would come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior but until then I respect his beliefs. I don't criticize him or tell him his belief is wrong. It is best to just shut up and be quiet sometimes.

In my humble, Christian oriented, opinion, your friend needs to do his research before he opens his mouth and speaks.

From my research, radical Athiests only want to get religion out of everyday life. For example, prayer out of schools, "in god we trust" off of the dollar bill, and invocations at sporting events, as well as banning certain colors during christmas.

True athiests don't believe in God and don't care what anyone else thinks. (Or so I've been told by an athiest friend of mine.)

Your friend needs to study history, if he thinks that christians don't start wars. The Catholic church carried out the Inquisition in Spain, started the wars with the muslims during the crusades, and even have killed people in wars, which is all find and dandy, because at the moment, it's the radical islamicists that are trying to kill all of us.

Wars are started by politics, and people with far too much power in their hands.

I hope you don't think that I'm spouting nonsense, because I am trying to keep it real.

To be fair, not all Christians are like him. However, he's clearly one of those that claims that only Christians are moral, ethical... etc.

When Christians do behave immorally or unethically, he'll simply claim that they weren't "True Christians". This type of person is really quite comfortable on top of the pedestal where he's placed himself.

The belief that all atheist support changing legislation about homosexuals is silly. Atheists are as diverse as liberal, or conservative, as any group.
