biblical prophecies prove the bible true and Jesus salvation too=Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us is born a child, a son is given and he will be the almighty God, and the prince of peace."
He knocks on every heart-yet he knows already who will believe-because Jesus is God-It is like a train-the train sees ahead, the present location and back to where it had been-all at the same time.
free will in salvation is the offer of the prophecies Isaiah 52:13-53:12 He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins."
the great physician for our soul to us, yet all in his knowledge=Life is offered -yet death and passing to everlasting life in hell and heaven is a reality too.
Do not condemn a doctor for offering you the cure for the disease that would kill you! Jesus paid the ultimate price to die for our sins, so we can believe-had these Scriptures Revelation 3:19&20 Salvation & chapters 19-22 of death and hell, been given without the offer of his salvation and the joy of heaven life and death would be hopeless.
Messiah Jesus is my savior and best friend, and that helps me to share his salvation that others may believe too, and be rescued as I was from the judgement to hell.
John 3= repented of sin and got born again, asking him into my heart to be my friend, amen.
I prayed "Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and be my friend, help me, amen."
He said "I love you and knock on your heart door to come in, deliver from sin when you repent (-even of one lie), and ask me in to be your friend." Revelation 3:19&20
what an honor and joy to know the prophecies of Jesus as my Messiah and best friend now too
prayin for you too, David

"There are several mundane ways in which a prediction of the future can be fulfilled:
Retrodiction. The "prophecy" can be written or modified after the events fulfilling it have already occurred.
Vagueness. The prophecy can be worded in such a way that people can interpret any outcome as a fulfillment. Nostradomus's prophecies are all of this type. Vagueness works particularly well when people are religiously motivated to believe the prophecies.
Inevitability. The prophecy can predict something that is almost sure to happen, such as the collapse of a city. Since nothing lasts forever, the city is sure to fall someday. If it has not, it can be said that according to prophecy, it will.
Denial. One can claim that the fulfilling events occurred even if they have not. Or, more commonly, one can forget that the prophecy was ever made.
Self-fulfillment. A person can act deliberately to satisfy a known prophecy.
There are no prophecies in the Bible that cannot easily fit into one or more of those categories."

read Daniel's interpretation of the dream. He nailed every empire that has existed since his time to this day. Other prophecies have been fulfilled as well and we are now in the final phase where all prophetic scripture will be fulfilled. Just ask anyone who set out to disprove the Bible and ended up becoming believers because of the prophecy factor.

The confidence comes from the prophecies already fulfilled.
The skeptics take pride in prophecies yet to be fulfilled, hoping that God will be less faithful in the future than He has been in the past.
