For them, is it a sin to enjoy sex? Do they only do it for children. I want to have great sex, when I find the right guy. I'm not a religious jew, but the guy I like is pretty religious. He wears a yamaka. Do they do that thing when they make a whole under the cover and "do it"?
I can not live without the real good, pleasurable part of it.

a thousand times ive failed
still your mercies remain
should i stumble again,
till im caught in your grace

Everlasting, your light will shine
when all else failes
neverending
your glory goes beyond all fame

my heart and my soul
i give you control
consume me from the inside out, lord
let justice and praise
become my embrace to love you
from the inside out

Everlasting, your light will shine
when all else failes
neverending
your glory goes beyond all fame

and the cry of my heart
is to bring you praise
from the inside out,
lord my soul cries out

Is it true that you believe you cannot speak directly to Jesus because you believe he is too busy? Is it true you think Mary is the Queen of the Angels (show where it says this in the bible)?

Heres what I think;
Mark 10:17 ¶ And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God.
1. He ran and kneeled before him, so was the Young Ruler making a public Display? 2. he call Jesus good. And asked "what must { I } do. Jesus replied why do you call me good there is none good but God. So was he trying to establish that "ALL" mankind need a Savior, not there own merit....next..
19.Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
1. why did Jesus only mention these commandments? could they be the ones the Young Ruler broke? 2. wait till I finish to answer I ran out of space.

Christians believe God exists and atheists know that He doesn't. It's obvious both sides sincerely believe they are correct and that neither side is attempting to deceive the other. Last night, I suddenly realized the reason for this paradox is that each side has a different definition of reality.

For the atheist, reality is objective, external to the mind and includes all that can be observed, directly or indirectly. Subjective experience is not part of an atheist's definition of reality because it is not physical and depends on personal expectation.

For the Believer, reality is subjective and arises from within the mind. It includes all that the Believer is capable of directly experiencing for himself. Subjective experience is an integral part of a Believer's definition of reality because humans can only know that which they experience for themselves.

I'd like to know everyone's opinion of the above speculation. Please state your faith before expressing your opinion.

What is the basis (scriptural or otherwise) of selecting THAT particular version as "The Word of God" and discounting all others?

I ask, because on another question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20070523112726AAIgyWR), I had a responder say that that the NIV is NOT the Word of God, and I should only quote the King James Version.

I know that some people believe this. I want to know why.

My mother-in-law is Catholic and says that everyone has a set time to die. When someone dies, she says, "It was his/her time to go". If someone commits suicide or gets killed, was it their time to go? It doesn't seem like something that would be preordained to me.

quote from lines of the bible.... i have read so many answers on here when people question the bible, or the validity of the bible, and still christians come up with a load of quotes from a questionable source.

Also:- if the bible is the word of god, how can it be translated- surely it looses meaning through slippages in the same way that novels do?

This is not just an attack, i was just wondering...

John 11:49-50 (NIV) reads:

Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, "You know nothing at all! You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish."

I've been an atheist my whole life but have recently been having problems dealing with the fact that I may die at anytime and that is the end. I've been feeling a lot of pressure lately to "make my mark" on the world, but I'm stuck being a housewife and am on disability with little money.
Can anyone relate?
I just don't want to die without some sense of accomplishment.

Purchased a pendant for my necklace from the vatican. It's of the madonna holding a baby with a bird flying over each shoulder. Does anyone know what pendant this is? Is it protection for mothers & baby? I've tried searching internet but can't find anything that looks like it. Would appreciate reference to it. Thanks!

Another passage, to clarify Jesus is indeed GOD!
Do you believe Jesus is God?
Also, knowing what Jesus did, knowing He was sinless, what human is sinless? NONE! (Romans 3:10) Only God is without sin. And only Christ is without sin. They are one in the same. Only they can defeat death.
John 10:30 says "I and the Father are one"

All Christians believe in the importance of family. Many study the Bible and pray together everyday (Not just for FHE). Many Christian families are so devoted to each other that they teach their kids at home. Many Bible believing churches won't even consider marrying someone who has been divorced. All Christians believe families can be together for eternity, (so long as they are all saved) without the earthy trappings and failures of marriage on earth.

It is kind of annoying to hear Mormons say they are the only family friendly religion. Especially considering the fact that they won't even alow some family members to attend their own kids wedding and the fact that they keep families so busy in church callings that they had to create FHE to make sure they had at least one day together as a family.
