No minor prophet just means there books were short. All books of the bible hold the same importance to the rest of the Bible.
The minor prohets are:(short books)
Hosea
Joel
Amos
Obadiah
Jonah
Micah
Nahum
Habakkuk
Zephaniah
Haggai
Zechariah
Malachi
The major prophets are: (Long books)
Isaiah
Jeremiah
Lamentations (Jeremiah's other book)
Ezekiel
Daniel

They were only called minor prophets because their books were not as big as the major prophets.

Major prophets were men that God actually spoke to. Minor prophets were given visions or dreams.
