Chuck Norris knows he's God and wants people to fear him.

This is what he wrote:

"America is facing a new religious horizon in which atheism is becoming a formidable foe. Though the majority of Americans continue to claim to be Christians, a Gallup poll discovered 45 percent of us would support an atheist for president. Such a survey is a clear indication that the secularization of society is alive and well."

What he's saying here is basically that atheism is threatening religiosity in the United States, and that such is a 'formidable foe' for the religious.

Calling it "anti-atheist bigotry" is definitely a step too far and represents the author's opinion, and not necessarily Chuck Norris' personal convictions.

Although I deeply disagree with him and prefer a reality-based government to one that supports bronze age fantasies, Chuck Norris is certainly entitled to his own opinions and is welcome to express them here. Why should we atheists be worried? I'm sure Chuck is a fine human being.

Edit: Wow! The guy's not even here to defend himself and you're already ripping into him. Don't we usually wait for "them" to say something really stupid, before we rip their guts out? Give the guy a chance.

No. Though I do worry that the Christians are gaining too much power and need to be put down after oppressing everyone else for the last 2000 years. Its time to end their domination.

So this is what action heroes do when they get long in the tooth -- cultivate another audience that's willing to suspend disbelief when The Hero appears on the scene.

Not worried. Not even annoyed.

And in his movies he always seemed so smart!

Sad, how such a brilliant mind is wasted :(

First Kirk Cameron, now Chuck Norris, I don't even want to think about what brilliant mind will be next. Paris Hilton?
