If time doesn't exist, then there is no such thing as eternity right?

time is also relative to how we percieve the days of the earth.

I'm pretty sure that Einstein once said time doesn't exist.

Heaven is a fictional place. It does not exist. It is a fable, just like the rest of religion. So, it is useless to try to apply logic to it.

Time is used to measure physical movement and physical change. Such as the rotation of the earth and it's path around the sun. And it measures change in physical forms, such as humans. We're born, go thru childhood, ages 1-18, then are young adults until maybe 40, then middle age until maybe 65, then senior citizens. And there is physical change that accompanies those ages. If there was no material plane, no physical bodies, no set occurances with physical planets and their movements, time would be irrelevent. Eternity is the lack of time, of an ending which is measured by time. But really, that's just a guess, haha, I don't know. Does it matter? (no pun intended).

And thank God time exists here on earth or I'd never get to go home from work today!

The easy answer to your question is that Heaven IS bound by matter such as planets suns, etc. God is a part of the Universe that He created. Everything is made of matter, including Heaven and God.

It is quite possible that time is derived from state change and is not fundamental at all. See http://www.platonia.com/. Note that when you measure "time" all you really do is compare one state with another.

I see no reason to believe in fairy tales such as Heaven or Gods. However the idea reality is based on something timeless and necessary such as tautological Mathematics is logically appealing.

The man said 'time is relative'. The spiritual heaven is the basis for the physical heavens and as such can not be defined by its physical bounds.

It all depends time was created to know when to grow certain crops and when to expect drought and other nutural occurences. Kinda how we know that it gets cold in the winter so you dont try to plant corn or how in the summer you dont plant squash. Of course those are just examples to get back to your question. Time in itself is not necessary to live and function but it does make life a lot easier. My guess would be if time does not exist in heaven then it would be called eternity because time is simply not measured.

You answered your own question. Time is relative to the human in terms of the conditions here on earth. And, for that matter only a concern of the temporal body of the human being. My dog could careless what time it is. The spirit is boundless and therefore not bound by "time."

TIme does not exist and we are all immortal due to the second law of thermal dynamics. If time does not exist then eternity is always there but My head really start to hurt when time and realtivity get involved

Now here is a wise thought. Time exists and is quantified by man. But to God it is not a finite commodity. Just because time is limitless does not mean it can't be divided by man. So the answer is wrong. Your if then equation is corrupt with ridiculous supposition. Patently inane.

Correct, great question. Eternity is actually the state of timelessness that God exists in, time doesn't exist there. When we get to heaven we are just there we aren't there for a couple billion years because time is of this universe and heaven is beyond that.
