That in the R&S section the Atheist, non Christians, non believers, whatever a person wants to call him/herself will be extremely rude, call belivers in Christ every name they can think of, call us deluded, refer to the Bible as a fairy tale etc... but, let a Christian ask a question that in any way offends or questions their belief system and some one will report that person to the YA Nazi's. LOL.

M.S. meaning: "mainstream" Christians. I hate to use this term, but I needed to differentiate between the different groups for a variety of answerers.

In the Matthew chapter 1 there's a genealogy in which the author claims there are 3 groups of 14 generations each. Let's ignore the fact that in one group the author omits names/generations found in the Jewish Scriptures, which were presumably his source. If you count each generation only once, you end up with two groups of 14 and one group of 13.

As someone who doesn't accept Biblical inerrancy, this is not a problem for me: 14 is the numerical value of the name David, and the whole point of using the number is symbolic. But if you believe that the Bible is accurate in all its details when it provides numbers, historical information, scientific data, etc. then this is a problem.

How do you answer this? Would you propose that there be a special "Biblical mathematics"? Shouldn't the evidence from the Bible itself determine your view, rather than imposing your presuppositions about inerrancy on the Bible?

Why isn't in a Science or History Book? why is it in in the Holy Bible a book inspired to men by GOD?

If Scientists claim they can see reason for the parting of the sea or biblical plagues happening, why not put in in a Science Journal?

Somebody in a recent post actually said he can't understand how atheists can shut themselves out from "art". Wow.
Do some of you really believe that?

asks the best questions? By best I mean questions that make you think deeply about your faith, your beliefs, and how you view others in terms of these things. Also, his/her questions are sensible and non-troll like. I think Orion asks some of the toughest questions in here. They're long, complex, and well thought out. My pick, anyway.

Scripture ref: Luke 23:42-43

42 Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." 43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." NKJV

Now my question is this; if there is "purgatory" as some are taught then how is it Jesus, himself tells the man on the cross next to him, ..."Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

Serious answers only. I am asking this respectfully and expect respectful answers. Thanks in advance and blessings!

What actually happens? I understand that they are in a state described as being like sleep, but do they remain like that forever, or are they eventually ressurected? I couldn't find it on the watchtower site.

Here is some of the info:
James K. Hoffmeier sought to refute the claims of scholars who doubt the historical accuracy of the biblical account of the Israelite sojourn in Egypt. Analyzing a wealth of textual, archaeological, and geographical evidence, he put forth a thorough defense of the biblical tradition. Hoffmeier now turns his attention to the Wilderness narratives of Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers

As director of the North Sinai Archaeological Project, Hoffmeier has led several excavations that have uncovered important new evidence supporting the Wilderness narratives, including a major New Kingdom fort at Tell el-Borg that was occupied during the Israelite exodus. Hoffmeier employs these archaeological findings to shed new light on the route of the exodus from Egypt.

How is this so different from a person uncovering World History events by archelogical evidence?
