I know...it doesn't belong in this category...

Anyone is welcome to answer.
If you subscribe to a religious type of magazine, include that...and explain to me what kind of info is in it.

And which out of your subscriptions is your favorite? Or, if you don't subscribe at all, which one would you most like to receive?

"And the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron."
Judges 1:19

God was with Judah, but in this case God's help was not quite enough against chariots of iron?

Let's rephrase that saying shall we: "If God is with us, let's hope those against us don't have chariots of iron."

1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16.

Why is it that people are not experiencing the abundant life?

2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.

Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.

3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.

4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" John 1:12

so , lets say a person commits a crime and another person actually got hurt! this is the first offense of the criminal! the Judge takes in consideration that it is the criminals first crime and gives him/her a lenient sentence!

how does God(who is the doer of all good) let that happen , and by this process re violate the victim????? if he has influence on all doings of man kind how is that a good thing????

in the mean time the criminals family say "thank the lord he /she doent have to go to prison"!
the victims family stands there and is angry and upset that this just happened!

if God is present at all times , where is he in the victims suffering?????

When he healed a blind man and raised Lazarus from the dead, wouldn't of that caused the Pharisee in thinking he was supernatural?
They had never witnessed a man who could do those things in the past, and since jJsus was not accused of being a witch they possibly knew he was the Messiah but GOD knew his plan had to come full circle so sins would be forgiven

Thoughts?

I have accepted Jesus as my Savior along time ago but I often wonder if I am going to Heaven because I still am part of the world, as much as I hate it, its hard to change. I still lisen to rock and roll and from time to time I say a bad word. I feel as though I won't get there.

Okay say some divine being appeared before you and was able to prove to you beyond any shadow of a doubt that he/she/it was the only "god" and that the only way to make it to "paradise" was to follow him/her/it, his/hers/its teachings, and live how him/her/it wanted you to live your life but you disagreed with what the deity wanted. However the only other option is eternal torment. What would you do?

This is purely hypothetical and before you answer I would like you to think in terms of both a mild disagreement with this deity and also a more powerful one where the deity's teachings go against your very moral fiber (like if Satan appeared and proved he was God.)

If they really don't believe there is a God, why are they spending so much time thinking about it? I believe that fairies and gnomes do not exist, and I don't believe I've ever went looking for a place where I could argue with someone who believes differently. Atheists: I'll leave you alone with your beliefs if you leave me alone with mine.

in my previous question, some people stated that by not telling a friend about your different religious views, you're lying and decieving them. how much personal information do you have to share with friends?

i'm a private person with many friends, but don't feel the need to always share my religious beliefs, or my musical ability, or why my sister is my sister when my mother didn't give birth to her, or how old i was when i lost my virginity, or even the fact that i love my wall paper in my kitchen more than any other wall paper i've seen!

I recently read the following: “One in four younger U.S. Muslims say suicide bombings to defend their religion are acceptable at least in some circumstances.”

These are US youths and not some third world kids. Although I admire anyone’s devout following of a religion or cause that would transcend our material existence, I find it hard to comprehend any teaching that so minimizes the value of life. It is understandable that people in a substandard standard of living embrace an after life to help them cope with their existence as it is today. But, these kids live in what is truly the “land of milk and honey”. What is missing to drive them to think it is acceptable to forfeit one’s life along with others in the name of a Deity?

My God loves ALL of us and has no religion dictating his will.
