I started playing with tarot cards literally as a baby and was learning to read cards by the age of 6 which means it is not far from being 50 years I have been reading tarot cards.
I have NEVER been possessed and have no reason to believe I ever will be.
I have never had to deal with anything that would come close to being called a demon except once and it involved someone that called them self a christian wiccan and I fully believe she brought her ideologies into the group and manifested them. I was more than capable of putting down her "demon" and never had a problem again because I asked the woman to not come back to the group.

Working with the tarot for over 14 years and never had any ill effects. I also work with spirits in more direct ways and strangely enough I have never had ill effects from that either.
But I constantly hear the stories about how if you have a reading how ill luck will befall you and such. Usually these stories come from those with no knowledge about the subject and the source of these is usually from religious anti-occult propganda.
I think Tarot and other systems of divination work on the basic premise that the whole universe is divine and nothing within a divine universe happens without reason and meaning. What may appear as coincidence may therefore have meaning and meaning can be found in something such as a random selection of cards. Or patterns formed through other methods as well. I think this is a nice idea at least.

lmao...yeah, cos demons are THAT bored!
Tarot cards - like most such tools - are essentially just experimental equipment in the field of quantum personal probability. The person to whom the reading relates directs the results by their energies - they exist within a matrix of possibilities, and their openness to events dictates the picture that their particular cards reveal. And of course the spirits who are close to any particular subject form a part of that energy matrix, and can guide the flow to reveal things of which the subject - constrained by time as they are - has no current knowledge. But it's kind of like taking a polaroid - the reading is good for that moment, but as the energy patterns shift - as the subject goes forward about their lives, the potential for each event changes because you're never exactly the same person that sat down at that reading. You can take positive action to fulfill the potential of the reading of course, but anything that claims to be able to foretell "the" future" is slightly mislabelled, because the future (like the nature of the electron in quantum experiments) is only decided when it happens - or doesn't happen.
All of which was a terribly long-winded way of saying there's really no point in any dark spirit "possessing" anybody at a tarot reading, be they reader or subject. Besides, any reader worth the name would put themselves into at least a neutral spiritual space before beginning a reading, which would mean it would be pretty bloody exhausting to possess them.
So no, never been possessed during experiences with tarot. lol

Been reading Tarot since I was a kid, and no, can't say I have ever been possessed....... Though you don't need to link in with Spirit to read Tarot, they are just a bit of card with a picture on anyway.
It does at times make me smile when I read these comments about us working with the devil and being possessed, because it shows such a lack of understanding, but also it makes me very sad that they don't have this understanding, because I know first hand how much love comes with working directly with the spirit world.
There is nothing more natural for me than working this way, whether I am using Tarot as a tool, or just working with the love of Spirit as my guide. It's all good and beautiful.

I get really pissed off when I hear nonsense about being possessed because someone is supposed to "have dabbled with things they shouldn't " . Tarot is an ancient divinatory tool . Not a portal to the great abyss of satanism as so many ignorant people seem to think . Used correctly by someone who has the gift of reading the message indicated by the cards they can be helpful and supportive . The worst you can get from a card is a paper cut ! Damage is done by people who use any form of reading to mislead intentionally or not through either ignorance or malice .

I once played poker with a deck of Tarot cards. I was dealt a full house and four people died. I was once possessed because of Tarot cards. I recovered from it. Then it happened again and I was repossessed. The demons took me away and put me back in the warehouse until I paid the bill.

Personally, I can also vouch for never being possessed from reading tarot. When you take into account that I only started on the tarot because I was finding myself reading playing cards, it makes it even harder to see where I have been possessed as a reader. Being able to listen to the cards is not the same as having control of the body taken away from you. Possession is having that control taken away.

Superstition. There are no "evil spirits" in the cards.
Although my friend had a bad experience with some type of VooDoo cards, he won't even show them to anyone now. But they just predicted a couple of deaths in the family.

I dabbled in tarot a couple times and just touching the cards I could feel a demon take over me. It made me say horrible things about Rosie O'Donnell and GW. It was the tarot, I tell you! Damn those demon cards!
At least, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
