yes, good point! (once again) BUT, i will say i used to believe the Book of Genesis to be exactly word for word the way it is/was...but i do have a brain and can see the scientific proof of "Lucy" and such things....
but, i still believe that God created all things, wether they evolved or not...
thankya, bay-bay!

The Christian religion does not evolve.
Our God is the same yesterday, today, and will be forever; it is man that changes.
Creationists are that group who say the earth is 6000 years old, correct?
They are Biblically illiterate. The Bible does not state this earth is 6000 years old; in fact, it states quite the opposite: that this earth is eons and eons in age, and that there was an entire earth age before this one we live in now. What you read beginning in Genesis 1:2, is not a description of the first creation of this Earth, but it is God rejuvinating the earth to ready it for this flesh age. Never a new earth, its just the Ages that have changed.
There are three earth ages. You can read of them in 2peter. One that was, one that is, and one final one to come.
Whatever process the Earth took to get us where we are today (call it what you will), God was responsible for it, but as God states in Genesis 1:1: "In the Beginning, God created the Heaven and the
Earth.". When does it say He did that?
It doesn't. Just "In the Beginning". We know from the entirety of the rest of Scripture that the "Beginning" or first creation was an uncountable span of eons of time ago.
There is no controversy whatsoever between the truth in Gods Word, and the true Sciences. Absolutely none. There is no reason for any person to feel they need to jump onto either bandwagon.

An extremely intelligent and insightful question. When you read from Genisis to the end of the New Testament there is tremendous evidence that the personality of God is evolving along with us. After the flood,God promised never to do it again. That is the voice of repentance and spiritual renewal of God himself. So then, you have the talent to be a good lawyer but don't waste it in that department ....devote yourself in search of truth, either in science or religion, they're both the same. Each is in search of the truth and the mind of God. See you in heaven.

Religion doesn't change, just the people who try to learn and understand things do. The Word of God has always been the same, people's interpretation of the Word is what evolves.

Yes it is. Unfortunately, the more you study religion, the more obvious it becomes, that "Believers" in a particular faith, very
seldom analyse their situation. To query things can very quickly, have you tagged as an oddball and ostracised by the rest of that community.
Sooner or later we are going to have to accept, that most of us, are just taking a different road, to the same destination.

Religions do not evolve. They are brought kicking and screaming into current times, all the while clinging on to beliefs they just got to grips with from whatever renaissance last took place.

Creationists are quite certain that their religion hasn't evolved.
Despite all evidence to the contrary. But hey, why should they pay attention to history? They already have all the answers.

I think so as well. Very well put. But I also think that it could go deeper depending on the religion in question.

But you youself do not even understand there are differne types of evolution. Micro evolution would be exactly what you are talking about with religions. Macro evolution (which i do not believe) would be sepcies being formed from others. Dont ask uneducated questions to put down others!
I didnt call you uneducated. I called your question uneducated. Get it right
