Thanks for all your answers - lots to think about.

David - I think it can be good, but it can also be very dangerous to take risks, even if they are "risks for God". I was talking to a friend about learning to hear God's voice, and I thought his advice was good - start off by taking LITTLE steps (risks), and you'll gradually learn to distinguish His voice, and then be able to trust Him with bigger and bigger things. Apart from that, I thought you had lots of good points. Thanks for the sermon website!

Take risks! When we take risks to do the work of the kingdom, and see God follow through with His promises, then we build testimony on which to stand.

Witness to someone, pray for someone to be healed, give away money to someone who needs it. When a the Holy Spirit leads someone to Christ in response to your witness, heals someone when you lay hands on them, or takes care of your needs even though you gave extravagantly, then your faith will be built.

Surround yourself with voices that are pure. Turn off the idiot box, and instead read your bible, or download some of the fiery sermons from great preaches on sermonindex.net and listen to them. Listen to music that really worships God. Hang out with people that have more faith than you do. Create an environment of faith around yourself. This is another way to build faith.

Keep asking God for more faith. It is a gift, and He has promised to give to us if we ask.

God bless!

You won't believe this either, but I have to tell you because you asked. FOR A FEW WEEKS STOP USING JUDGMENTAL WORDS AND USE ONLY DESCRIPTIVE ONES. That's the absolute application of the 'scientific method', the basis for all science, objective observation. It's also a command, 'judge not or you will be judged and be found wanting'. It really works. You access your still small voice of intuition and it shows you how the universe works and why.
They have a saying, 'if it sounds sensible it's probably not true'. The intuition is like that, it doesn't seem right. It's all that you ignore, everything you don't already believe you ignore if it doesn't fit with what you think you know, but we know so little that the intuition leads you into "the rest of the story", a universe of new ideas you don't usually see. Guess who's there? The creator of science. After all, isn't Jesus "the way, THE TRUTH and the life?" Of course you don't stop there, but by looking at the facts only, the conclusions are obvious. The facts speak for themself. The subconscious is a computer that can compute the universe where we can't hold it all in our conscious mind. You wouldn't argue with a calculator. The intuition is like that, always right they say. Truth is stranger than fiction.
Like I said, I had to tell you, it's the easiest method I know because it's absolutely not judging. Absolutely foregiving, being thankful, and loving your enemies are methods a lot of people have found to lead them to joy and faith, the fruit of the Spirit of Truth. Doubt is not believing your intuition, not believing in yourself or confusing you thinking with for an intuitive thought..
I hate to post this because I know it sounds dumb, but it works. So I've made a fool of myself. Oh well.

hi, ! there are lots of ways, but some ppl prefer others, in my case...

1.- just sitting there and, admiring all the creation, that increases faith a lot

2.- imagining how our body is so perfect! each and every cell, hormone, its like sooo perfect and unbelievable. Nothing but God could design something like all that.

3.- Your trust in God, see God will never let you down never, each thing is cause it has to be for some propose, so u have to leave all your stuff to Him, and u will get it ... everytime u will see God don't lets u down...! =)

4.- And the most important thing, u have to have a personal relationship with God, talk to him as a friend , read the Bible that helps a lot, most of the times God speaks to us through the Bible. And when u start feeling him so close, everything of that ( faith and trust) becomes so real =)

see! ya have a nice day

One suggestion : By learning to be faithful in little?

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

Then will not God give to us more?

And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

Are not the children of light so very foolish, thinking they can handle great things when they have not learned to handle the little things first?

Isn't that all of life, learning and knowing and being sure and competent in the simple and basic and foundational things first before progressing to the greater? If we don't then will not the building be shaky and set up for a fall? And great will it's fall be.

And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

PRAY DAILY-Exhort to prayer
1Tm:2:1: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Tm:2:2: For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Tm:2:3: For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Tm:2:4: Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Tm:2:5: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Tm:2:6: Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1Tm:2:7: Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
1Tm:2:8: I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
GOD BLESS

james 4:8 Draw close to god and he will draw close to you...... you should make the first step in to building your relationship with God
Phillipians 4:9 The things that you learned as well as accepted and heard and saw in connection with me, practise these and the God of peace will be with you...........Says that after learning the things about Jesus (our role model) practice what you have learned and God himself will be with you, this suggests learning and the only way to learn is through accurate study of Gods word the Bible.
John17:3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you the only true God and of the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ.

I feel it depends where we are with God..
I think just walking with Him and living our lives..we get to know Him through our experiences..as we get to know Him better our faith rises. The more trials we go through, the more our trust in Him grows..when we look back we can see how He brought us through the worst of times..

Well on our part, by reading the bible, praying and seeking God.

On God's part, He increase faith and trust in us by leading us and giving us areas in our life that strengthen that. There are trials given to us by God that when we look back, can see how much we grew in our walk with Him.
