Recently reading over some of Paul's writings, I came across something I never noticed before. In Corinthians Paul mentions marriage and his take on it, he believes it could save us a lot of trouble if we remained as he was, single. Amazing what you can find reading outside of church. Any opinions on Paul's take on the issue? Seems logical to me, but why do so many christians marry? Do they ever even see this passage?

History and Science books are always changing and being updated as historians and scientist uncover more evidence of the past..

The Bible does not change because evidence has been uncovered of it's truth through out the history of the world

In the past years, archealogical evidence as proved many stories in the Bible to possibl be true..

Dead Sea Scrolls for one, Solomon's Temple, lately King Herrod's tomb, The Garden of Eden being located in Iraq.

Scientists even now realize how the Sea was parted by ocean currents, winds as told in the story of Moses, or how the sea might of turned blood red with a fungus that plagued the waters or Locusts that brought fourth massive destruction, these are biblical stories, scientists realize could of very well happened.

How can you say the Bible is full of fairy tales when even Archeologists are finding evidence of biblical truths.

the same beliefs as them?

I have met many christians who assume i'm christian because of my morals and values, the way i raise my children, participate in the community etc.

i'm pagan and private about my religion, because i think religion is a private, personal thing. the problem is, i feel guilty about just letting people believe i am something that i'm not, but on the other hand, it's not really their business.

so, when should you tell someone about your religious beliefs when they differ from theirs?

and let's face it, many many people DO care if you aren't the same religion as them. (i'm not one of them, but being pagan, i am often discriminated against)

and that there is not much time to repent and accept the blood of Jesus' sacrifice for them? I mean, Matthew Chapter 24 is pretty plain about this, and most Bible prophesy has already been fulfilled. Time is ticking away.

The Bible predicts famine in the Great Tribulation. It could be that "IF" this current theory about there being a shortage of honey bees, we will not have pollenized crops. But after having been 'scrared' into thinking that the Evironmentalist extremists are right about even man made catastrophy, we find that they are not right. Ever since Carl Sagan's article about what would happen if Saddam Hussien lit the oil fields was found to be sheer fantasy ( because he did and we didn't have the terrible effects that Mr. Sagan predicted), we have been experiencing doulbled efforts by evironmentalist hysteria.

So my question is: "Does this current honey bee scare seem to be another one of those Evironmentalist hysterical attempts at influencing public thought?"

Why are there so many different religions?

Scholars from each religion will read the same verse and interpret it differently.

So, which is correct? Protestants, Catholics, Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Jews, Buddhists?

If Protestant, which of the protestant religions are correct? Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Church of God, Assembly of God?

Please don't say he who believes in the trinity, or that Jesus Christ is the son of God....please give specific answer...which of the above religion is correct and which is wrong

My last two questions in this area seemed to fail considerably. My ideas were not accepted much at all, but I will persevere even if it seems arrogant.
I think I have repeatedly worded my questions wrong, people seem to think that what I am trying to think about is another religion, rather than a replacement for religion. The basic idea is that religion as an organized group of supernatural believers is coming to an end in many countries, leaving behind a moral abyss. This needs to be filled with some kind of moral guidance, possibly inspired by humanism, which will protect organized society, the Earths ecology and the human race by making sure that people are taught the correct morals, rather than morals that could be taught wrongly through, say, gang culture.

Morals need to be taught because I believe that they do not come naturally, they are acquired over time from your parents, peers, figures of authority and religion.

I've been Muslim for over 4 and a half years. My family (which is small) is spread out all over the world. I've only seen my parents (they are divorced) twice each since I have converted (and I didn't wear hijab then)...we have never been very close but we still talk on the phone to see how we are doing at least a couple times a month. My parents don't really believe I am muslim...they think it is a phase or I am confused. They do however find every chance they can to insulte islam, muslims, or arabs (except for my husband (I became muslim b4 I met him & I wasn't living with my parents at the time)). It's weird because I always found my parents fairly worldly while I was growing up. They grew up in two different cultures, they traveled a lot. Lived in other countries etc. Every time my mom hears something bad about muslims or arabs etc she calls me to tell me about it... No matter how many times I correct her or give her something to read it doesn't make a difference. ....
