According to recent news reports, Prince Rogers Nelson (better known as the entertainer "Prince") was still a Jehovah's Witness as of May 23, 2007.

This is old news. He was baptized two years ago, after studying for five years. That may seem an unusually long time, but you have to consider his time constraints, plus debating how this would affect his life and career. He gave up, not sold, his claim to any of his songs with suggestive lyrics, meaning he receives nothing when they are played or sold. That's reflective of the Bible story about the magicians who decided to follow the one true God, and burned their gold encrusted books of magic, even though they were very valuable and could have been sold.

You will note that as usual, the Watchtower did not publish anything in their magazine about Prince, nor did they call a press conference, as other religions would have done. The press only took note of it when Prince announced he would no longer sing certain songs.

I personally think there is nothing wrong with that. It's actually a good thing.

As a fellow Witness, I say do the research on the official site of Jehovah's Witnesses. Like with anything. If you want the truth, go to the source. Because there are many sites provided by ex-witnesses who seek to mislead many.

Are you referring to a prince as in any royal offspring of a king or are you referring to the gentleman who is fond of purple and was formally known as and is now once again known as Prince?

If it is the former, the scriptures show that anyone can respond to the good news of God's kingdom.

If it is the latter, the scriptures show that anyone can respond to the good news of God's kingdom.

If a member of a ruling family decided to be a Witness it is his or her choice like anyone else.

I could care less. So long as they don't rule by their religion.
