That in the R&S section the Atheist, non Christians, non believers, whatever a person wants to call him/herself will be extremely rude, call belivers in Christ every name they can think of, call us deluded, refer to the Bible as a fairy tale etc... but, let a Christian ask a question that in any way offends or questions their belief system and some one will report that person to the YA Nazi's. LOL.

Deke, I asked because I asked a question that was reported just a week ago by someone and removed. Since all my answers were from angry, agitated atheist except for one(and I gave the best answer to an atheist) you may have a valid point. Perhaps the one non Atheist didn't like my best answer choice and reported me. Whatever the situation it's sad that reporting someone gives folks a big charge. I hope they don't take all my points away from me I had so hoped to trade then in on something speical like a new car!!!LOL!!!

Excuse me, But I have seen Christians do the same thing. Also I (me an atheist) have reported atheist for rude remarks to Christians. I have never referred to someone as deluded./ Rudeness is in no way limited to atheist. I think there are quite a few who are in the christian camp who act very holier than thou. I never said you were going to hell to burn for eternity have I? The fact is their are bad apples and both sides. I'm going to try to ignore the bad and concentrate on the good.

I don't report people unless they are grossly offensive to the majority because personally I am not an easily offendable person.
I don't think i have ever been "rude" to people unless they've deserved it for saying something disrespectful or posting something here that doesn't belong here. (i.e. posting a preaching statement or a prayer request. Those things do not belong here. It's yahoo ANSWERS, not yahoo proselytizing or yahoo prayers!)
I suppose that a lot of atheists/non-christ/nonbelievers are rude on Y!A because it is their outlet for all the negativity they've had directed at them by christians. They use the anonymity of the internet & Y!A to bash christians as they have been bashed.
I don't have sympathy for most christians who cry about being bashed on Y!A, but there are a few who are genuinely wonderful people who I would stand up for even if it meant going against my atheist friends. There are some people who truly do not deserve to be spoken to in a rude manner, for everyone else....... they deserve it completely!

When someone says that Christianity is a delusion they're simply stating that it's a false belief. When someone calls the bible a fairytale, they're just saying that they don't think it's true. If that offends you then you're incredibly insecure about your religion. A word of advice, if you can't handle other people having different opinions, you should probably avoid this site, or even the Internet entirely.

I'm not rude, I don't call people names, and I very rarely report people. I've never reported anyone because they said something that I just didn't like; it is typically only for deeply racist or sexist language.
Generalizations are bad. And not all non-Christians are atheists. Most religious people in the world are NOT Christians, actually (you only make up about 33% of the world's population).

so many idioitic christians have posted this and so many idiotic atheists have posted this. To think that your group, whatever it may be, is targeted more than the other is ridiculous. Just look at the questions posted and the comments, the attacks are pretty even. Stop maurdering.

Do you have any idea how many whiny Christians have already posted this inane comment?
As a matter of fact, if all of the rude posts were removed from this forum, what would be left would be well over 95% atheists' posts. While there are rude posts from both sides, there are very few decent posts from Christians, while the majority of atheists' posts are reasonable, decent answers to the questions asked.
Your perception of the situation is extremely biased, hon. You apparently can't handle participation in public discussion. I suggest you retreat to some sanctuary where everyone thinks like you do. It'll be more comfortable for you.

Talk sense. Christians have reported me for trivial things like calling them deluded or even unmanly, which are perfectly valid comments- I would NEVER report anybody for anything like that. Only Christians do things like that on this board. Like Alanis Morissette you don't even know the meaning of the word ironic.

Do you ever find it hypocritical that Christians are supposed to be so good and moral and all that jazz, and yet they use insinuations and passive aggressiveness to try to make other people feel bad and boost their own self esteem?
Oops! I wasn't supposed to mention that, huh? Isn't pride a sin? Isn't it in the very ten commandments to not bear false witness?

Please provide proof of an atheist reporting a Christian's question.
Meanwhile, I'll be glad to provide a list of atheist accounts that have been deleted, most likely because they didn't want to be part of the marching hammer parade.

Both sides play the game, my dear. :-)
The real irony is that atheists don't see their own hypocrisy. (ie their main complaint seems to be that Christians "shove their beliefs down other peoples' throats", and atheists' response is to come here and shove their beliefs down other peoples' throats.)
